I'm looking for a laptop, one that can these games on med.
cs source
wc3
and possibly, not required.
WoW
BF2
It needs: wireless, med-long battery life, preferably under 1500$.
I took a look at the Macs, but its 5400 rpm harddrive, 64mb intel video card, 512mb ram, and 2ghz INTEL cpu seems bad... And the fact that its OS is Mac, well, I don't know.
Any recommendations?

You'll want a PC if you're planning to do a lot of gamming since a lot of games only run on PCs. Keep in mind that you have to pay more for a laptop thats equally powerfull as a cheaper desktop. I'd look for at least 1 GB of RAM, 1.5-2 GHz processor, and preferably an ATI or nVidia video card (which might be hard to find pre-installed in a laptop, but I have one so I know they exist).
Laptop + Gaming doesn't really go together.
Especially for only 1500. Do you really see yourself using the laptop wirelessly/off battery power often?

WarCraft III and WoW should run fine on that, assuming the architecture change from PPC to Intel doesn't mess them up (I had a friend running WoW on an iBook G4, which is much less powerful than the new MacBook). CS: Source would not run on a Mac, since Steam is currently a Windows-only application as far as I know. Also note that the 2 Ghz processor is dual core. =p
Anyway, if you want CS, or any other Valve games, you have to go Windows.
If you want to go AMD, check this out: http://www.ibuypower.com/ibp/store/configurator.aspx?mid=177
You could add more memory and hard drive size and keep it under $1500, but you only have one option for graphics (Radeon X1600). That would be able to play WarIII, WoW, Doom 3, Half-Life 2 (and Source based games).
The reqs for HL2 are:
Processor: 1.2 GHz Processor
OS: Windows, 2000/XP/Me/98
Graphic card: DirectX 7 level graphics card
Hard Drive: 4.5 GB
Memory: 256 MB RAM
Other: Internet Connection, DVD-ROM Drive
As you can see, that notebook blows the minimum out of the water, especially if you opt for a more RAM, although I don't know exactly what you'd need to run CS: Source on medium.
Note, you also get Age of Empires III for free with a Turion processor! (in the computer I linked to)

Im going to be driving to Disney Land this summer, and is a laptop's wireless stong enough to be connected to the net at all times during the trip, if I travel on highways? I heard the US has mad connections

Unfortunately, no. While there may actually be enough coverage to last the trip, they're not bridged together. That means once one signal drops out, you have to manually find and connect to the next access point.

Too bad laptops aren't upgradeable :(

And another thing is, is that even though there may be a connection there, it may be locked. (Don't remember the correct word but it means you need a password and such to connect.) Not all wireless is free wireless.

You can upgrade some laptops entirely. Sound cards, processors, video, even the usb ports! Just depends on what you have.

Is laptop RAM upgradeable?
EDIT: Just took a look at Alienware laptops. All I can say is..: OVER PRICED
Yup RAMs upgradable too. In fact the ram on most all laptops is upgradable. However ther are limits to it (Like mine can only take 192MB max) so make sure you know what they are before you buy anything.

xodkrm, since you got the 1 stick of 1024 Mb RAM, you have an open slot in that laptop (I know since 2x 1024 was an option on the site). Add another stick of 1024 Mb and you could have 2 Gigs. I don't know if you could do it yourself on this laptop, but it can be done.

Woot in another week or two ill be playing BF2 on highest
What kind of laptop did you end up getting? I got a laptop for the sole purpose of playing games on it, and it just didn't work out for playing games.. I spent $1700 on a Dell and after about 6 months or so, it just wouldn't play like it used to. I hope the same problem doesn't happen to you. And for the rest of you, never buy DELL. ;)

DELL currently probably makes the best gaming laptops (in terms of price and output). I thought you wanted med-long battery life though, I think the one you purchased may last MAYBE 1 or 1.5 hours? Though if you want to be able to play hardcore games with a laptop don't even think about a good battery lfie :).
I'm looking for a business laptop though and can't seem to decide between the Fujitsu S7100 and the IBM ThinkPad T60.

well most newer lappies go rly hot, or can and will go hot. a tweaker can "cool" them down and increase time it runs on accumulator significantly, like a hour or two from advertised. without hardware changes, apart from possible extra ram.
that tweaking might include running linux on it instead, mind you.
