sorry, I dont think an unprotector exists. At least you dont want to use it to unprotect someone elses map! Its a good idea to always have 2 copies of a map if your going to protect. actually three. one to be the released version that you protect, ont to be the unprotected on for editing, and the third as a backup in case the one for editing gets screwed. (like what happened with me and starforge)

good luck with that. I hope your map wasnt too complicated or far along cuz recreating a map from scratch can be annoying.

It's best you don't post about this again. Using a map unprotector is frowned upon by most map makers, regardless if it's your own map.

Don't speak of the evil unprotector ever again. Only one was made, and it isn't up for grabs anymore, and if it is, I hope to destroy those that host it. I have a copy, but will NEVER send it to anyone, NOR copy it, or for that matter, use it for evil. For all I know, you want to steal a map. Maybe you don't. Maybe you want to see a trigger. Maybe you don't. I can't trust anyone here with it. Heck, a lot of the time, I don't trust myself. Don't bring it up again, and don't even ask me. I'm not going to give it, even for all the money on earth. You can give me riches beyond glory, but without honor, it's nothing.

You are against map-unprotectors and yet you have one? I think the power of that unprotector is getting to you, twould be a shame to see you cross over. Let me take it off your hands...

I have it for a couple reasons, but trust me, it doesn't get to me. One, I have it in a hidden state, so that noone that accesses my compuer can find it right off. Second, I have it protected, and third, the only time I ever use it, is to check trigger work. Trust me, I know it might be smarter to ask someone, but what happens if I don't know how to contact them? Besides, then I can get a good look at what they did. Besides, it's not all that great. All the locations are renamed location 0-254/255 (I forget which it is, again), so it's hard to tell what is what... But you can get the basic idea by changing a location name to something, then checking triggers.
But anyways, no, it's not up for grabs. And I seriously hope you're the last one to ask, even in a joking fasion. Oh, and even BST knew I had this thing, but I just hadn't told everyone yet. It's harder than hell to use, too, because you have to do so much to unprotect one map. I wish it was simpler. I don't even think people that visit these forums could understand except programmers, Doom, DarkSoul, and others like that... I barely understand it...

Well what I´ve heard, you can damage the map with Win MPQ.
Which also means that you can restore It and unprotect It.
Don´t know If this Is true, but that`s at least what I´ve heard.

One unprotector to rule them all, One unprotector to find them, One unprotector to bring them, and in Darkness bind them.

No, it's everytime you unprotect. The guy who made that up ripped me off. How did he rip me off, if he came up with it before I did, you ask? Well, when I was institutionalized for playing too much b.net, my brain was studied exhaustively by the guys of mental health. I was interrogated, I was x-rayed, I was examined *thoroughly*. Then, they took everything about me and put it into a computer where they created this model of my mind. Yes! Using that model they managed to generate every thought I could possibly have in the next, say, 10 years. Which they then filtered through a probability matrix of some kind to -- to determine everything I was gonna do in that period. So you see, he knew I was gonna write the killing kittens thing into the pages of history before it ever even occurred to me. He knows everything I'm ever gonna do before I know it myself.
Besides, isn't that the same thing as unprotecting? Either way, people don't like it when you discuss or do those kinds of things in public.

There was this guy, and he was always requesting shows that had already played. Yes. No. You have to tell her before. He couldn't quite grasp the idea that the charge nurse couldn't make it be yesterday. She couldn't turn back time, thank you, Einstein! Now, *he* had wayyyyy too much time! *He* was a fruitcake, ZeroDarkStar!

I once had a map unprotecter. It worked so good, all the triggers and everything were the same. I think I used it once, and that was to look at a friends map because he had deleted the unprotected version. I looked at it and didn't learn too much. It's much better and easier just to ask people online about what you need to know. I've never used the map unprotector since, as I know a LOT of people online who make good maps. I just ask them if I get stuck.

I have an unprotecter and have used it once or twice when I screwed up and once when (DB)Baal lost all his good maps. I helped him get his unprotected 1.04 version of WOTS back to final using that and managed to keep the ISOM section fixed ;). Took a bit of skill and a bit of time. Oh, btw, you can restore location names if you know what you're doing. I can unprotect a map and make it as if I had made the map in SCXE. Oh yeah. Oh, I still frown down upon unprotecting maps for the simple fact that most people would abuse it if they had it.

If you need your map unprotected, just ask one of the experienced guys to do it for you. Anyone want to volunteer?
