Schwitzer for Administrator

Schwizter currently holds the title of Admin, but if things go as normal, he will be demoted upon AJ's return from vacation. I am creating this thread as a genuine request to AJ that he consider Schwitzer as a permanent Administrator.

Obviously running this website can be a real time consuming effort, therefore it only makes sense to hire additional help. Schwitzer is a devoted staffer, he gets along well with most of our members and I believe that he genuinely cares about the site.

If you wish to see Schwitzer as a permanent fixture in the upper echelons of our glorious Warboards staff, please take a moment to post your thoughts here. But please, let's not see this turn into a spam fest.

While I am the first to understand that this is not a majority rules type situation, I would hope that AJ will see this as an opportunity to make a change in the best interest of the forum and the members alike.

It would seem that it would be a little more in keeping with trends if WB would try to somehow fire him or scare him off.

A poll isn't really going to matter since our vote doesn't count. This is more or less a petition drive, (i.e. sign your name to enact change.)

Schwitzer has been around longer than I have, and he is a very responsible leader of our forums (for the most part, anyways). I think we should employ schwitzer as a permanant assistant administrator. Not because we need change, but because it's a good idea to have more than one supreme power to maintain balance and order.

Sure he may be a Sarcastic Bastard, but he seems responsible most of the time and he's most definantly well liked 'round the boards!

As for those that questions the necessity for an additional admin, let me remind you that there are many admin duties that are required behind the scenes. During my short time as a moderator (2nd time around,) I noticed a need for additional administration.

This is not to say that the current administration has failed, only that there is often more work than can be handled by the current admin staff.

It's not as if I'm volunteering him to babysit.....errr, wait.

If Schwitzer didn't want this, he would have told me so. I talk to him all the time and he is aware of this thread.

And for the record, he had/has no part in this. If you really need his approval so that you can lend your support, you could always PM him. But I don't expect him to come and post here, considering that this isn't the typical manner in which promotions are granted. Contrary to popular belief, Schwitzer has some level of humility to maintain. ;)

Schwitzer and I have our differences, but so do Genocide and I. I have never felt any true animosity from Schwitzer, and from all accounts he seems like a very level-headed individual. AJ could certainly use the help, and there are few on this site better suited than Schwitzer.

This will be (is being) discussed furthur in the staff forum, this topic is something that the staff really needs to discuss in full, because while its a good idea, I think the idea of Schwitzer being an administrator isn't the real goal (after all, admins don't have that many more powers then a Global anyways) -- the real goal is to have someone that moderators can goto to resolve an issue that they can't, and seeing that AJ is the only (serious) "admin" above us... Heh, can you imagine Fengy being the goto guy?

Anyways, we'll be discussing this furthur in private (sorry!), if you have any earth-shattering ideas on the subject, feel free to PM one of the Staffers!
