Well, here's the deal. As you guys might know Mike Shinoda, the rapper from Linkin' Park has created a new project/crew called Fort Minor.
They've brought out two singles as far as I know, and I like both of 'em, even though ain't a big hip-hop fan. I was just wondering though, how does this affect his relationship with his old band?'It might unfold into some break up or w/e.
I'm not really informed on what's happening, is there anyone that is?

LP is recording their next (and actually with all-new songs!) album at the moment...
Or that's what I heard anyway.

Linkin Park should be the official MySpace band.

Damn I hoped those LP split up for ever or something:mad:
Linkin Park should be the official MySpace band. Ha! Strange thing is that most famous artists have profiles there...

He's really good, babs. It's no gangster rap like ur Wu Tang Clan, but it's good. It'd be cool if he went straight hip-hop for awhile. There's enough people on the internet blabbing about Linkin' Park, probably because their the nearest to main stream but not quite maintstream enough to be pop (aka. Good Charlotte, Green Day).
Most of LP's fanbase is people that have just discovered the Rock genre I think.

Hey I like plenty of other kinds of music, and rap wise I also really enjoy old school stuff. I DONT like any new stuff because they all rap about the same tired old shit. I like rick james too:D

Sure you do babs. Is rick james SlickRick? (Sherlock Holmes is in town, boys :smirk:)
I like old school rap sometimes, shit like MC Hammer and the Sugar Hill Gang, it always gets a laugh out of me. And that thing by Aerosmith and Run DMC, walk this way.

I'm not really a rap music guy, but Fort Minor has good songs. And none of them r about women/bling/pimping/gangsta. They sing more about reallife issues and stuff. And its a collaboration from a whole bunch of other artist, including that Wu Tang Clan guy.....uh....Ghostface Killa or something

I agree, shit about relatives gone (to war, their career, dead) etc. It's good. And it sounds better than any 50 cent or Busta Rhymes shit to boot!

Linkin Park is my favorite band, I'm not sure if they are going to make another album, but I know www.linkinpark.com has a new song " Believe me " and Fort Minor has a CD out.. I only know 3 of their songs... Remember The Name, Where'd you go, and Petrified.. I hope Linkin Park gets back together I think it would be good for our world xD

Back together? They haven't split up. I was just thinking it might affect their band if Shinoda starts another career, ya know? Like Gwen Stefani and No Doubt.

No Doubt split up before Gwen started going solo. And I say good riddence to bad rubbish. No Doubt like Primus Suck Total Ass, and no dissrespect ment to any who like those bands its just personal opinion.
And I think Linkin Park is stronger than to let one members side project split them up, though i could be wrong.

Yeah, I agree, No Doubt sucked. I was just using them as an example (which turned out to be incorrect)

LP is probly the only rap / pop band that I like.
I think they kik serious ass.
I can't remember a song name - It had a background piano and the lyrics had something like
I came really far
but had to let it go
something
something
pendulm swings
watch the time fly by
anyone recgonize the lyrics?

That song's 'in the end', their best song IMO
I just think Meteora sucked. Listen to one or two songs and you'll say: 'hey that's pretty cool!'
Then listen to the other 11, and realise they're all pretty much identical.

Yeah, I knew that, what I was wondering though is: Will this affect the progress of the band? Mike can hardly be making two albums at a time ;)

That would be interesting wouldn't it, they could make one of those gay celebrity shows and it would continue to run untill ratings droped to the point of their being only gays an lesbians who are watching it, or poor Mikey has a mental breakdown.
(no offence to gays or lesbians)

Srry, but what the hell are you talking about?

Im talking about Mikey boy having a increased stress level because he is dealing with the release of two albums all the time, he would end up being short fused and hily irratable with his band mates, its just like the drummer from Queens of the Stone Age geting a little hard to work with, because he is also on a side project. The fact is its hily probuble for the band to split up now. And I realize I am contradicting my priviouse statement. And I wold love to see him be at two differant concerts on the same night. Ho Horay for stress.
