Also, I propose a new nomenclature system for our maps.
The format is "ABC-xxx-yyyz".
ABC is the 3-character map identifier. It should consisting of all caps, and only letters. It will be determined at the start of each project what this ID should be.
xxx is a 3-digit map version number. Starting with 000.
yyy is a subversion number. Starting with 001.
If the map is under development: Write out yyy
If the map is a "Benchmark version" (ready to be uploaded to the server): Omit yyy
EXAMPLE: The first map on one's HD should be ABC-000-001. The next one ABC-000-002, and so on. Then once the map is ready to be uploaded to the server, take the last version, say ABC-000-022, copy it, and rename the copy to ABC-001, and upload that to the server. Once somebody else starts working on it, his first "under development" version will be ABC-001-001.
z is a miscellaneous identifier. It is always lowercase.
If z is:
"p": The map is protected
"t": The map can be tested in StarCraft. (can be omitted if yyy is also omitted)
"u": The map cannot be tested in StarCraft. (can be omitted if yyy is NOT omitted)
