I'll be graduating this year from high school and going to a community college, which means I'm staying with the family for two more years.

Anyway, I'm wondering for those that do NOT live with their families, what do you guys largely do for fun?

And when you play games, how often do you guys play it, what do you guys play and would it be a console or pc game?

Right now, I have a gamecube, but I'm thinking about selling off my multiplayer games, since I only really get to play multi on it once a month. I could use that cash on other things or focus on solo games.

drink! :)

bars, frats, streaking, wander around the streets while rolling deep. walk around the first-year dorms looking for drunk and lost girls walking by themselves... creepy....haha

Although video games have their place at school, most of the time fun equals doing something with friends, at least for me. Sometimes this involves games, but not too often. I've been out dancing, wandered about downtown, gone camping, played frisbee at 1 AM, etc.

As for getting rid of your multiplayer games, if you were living in a dorm I would say that's probably the worst idea I ever heard, as far as gaming goes. But from your post I infer that you'll be staying at home, so that cuts out some of the possibilities for finding people to play with. Well, not living on campus cuts out some of those other things I listed, too. But the important thing is to be social and not hole yourself up at home or in your room. You won't have much fun that way.

After starting college I have gone from being a social nil on high school to practically spend all my time either studying or socializing or pursuing other hobbies.

And frankly I'm happy that happened.

Even when I'm on my computer at school, I'm never playing games. 90% of the time if I'm in my room I'm talking to people trying to find something to do or doing homework.

Otherwise, go out. Play games on the quad, go places with friends, drink, etc.

As nerdy as it sounds, seek out D&D players. It's a great way to socialize, especially if you already play games.
