Best "AUSTRALIAN" Band

if there are any aussies besides me then you would know that australia is filled with small little unknown bands who are actually really good. many are from the big citys like:

sydney
melborune
canberra (which i'd like to remind americans this is the capital of australia!!)
brisbane

some of these bands are at international standard and just want to be heard.

if you know any good australian bands other than the big famous ones (ac/dc) then post it here. i might post up my list up soon :P

I'm completely ignorant about aussie bands mostly.

AC/DC I know of course. But hey, who doesn't?
Jet is aussie, and I like listening to them, but you can't call them 'the best' or anything. They have no real originality or talent (except for the drummer, he rocks) but their songs are fun anyway (except their ballads)

I really recommend Powderfinger, there a very high class band.
If they manage to see it through in 20 years time they will be as well known to the world as U2. I believe they have that sort of potential.
