What do you think the 5 best Rock / Punk album are?

Mine are:
1. London Calling - The Clash
2. ...and out come the wolves - Rancid
3. Nevermind - Nirvana
4. 1989 Bleach - Nirvana
5. Master of Puppets - Metallica

an excellent band if i saw one. its a must get

2. greatest hits - the offspring

these guys are awsum

3. the plain paper people ( i think its that ) - kisschasy

4. in with the crowd - less than jake

i know they rn't a punk band but their new stuff is punky

5. the beautiful letdown - switchfoot


EDIT: thats quite alot of nirvana lol

this band isn't rock or punk but they are heaps good XD

offspring isn't pop? their music isnt wasn't and never will be pop. if it was pop it would be pop/rock but i'm pretty sure they are rock

haha. genre's are difficult.

but anyway.

Nine Inch Nails ~ With Teeth
Tool ~ 10,000 Days
Strapping Young Lad ~ Alien
System of a Down ~ Toxicity

and probably some more, but thats all i can think of right now

Something from Mogwai, too. Dunno what. Maybe "Rock Action"

Dookie - Green Day is probably one of the more popular Punk/Rock albums of all time.
Dookie is a good pop/punk album, the new Greenday stuff is too pop for me to handle, eg American idiot (ew).

nirvana, offspring, london calling from the clash definitely, dead kennedys, the cars

tese are not necessarily the best but they are some of my favorites

WTF!!!Offspring is not New metal.Their type of playing is defenitely punk but im not sure which type of punk is it

Is it really fair to combine the rock/punk genres? I mean, punk has so many offshoots as does rock, and they're two dissimilar types of music with a common ancestry?

I like Meteora and the other Linkin Park Albums, I think they're pretty good if you hear them live, they sound almost just like the do on their CD's.

not compared to other stuff being talked about here like Nirvana and Metallica

I can't choose, but my favorite live album is definitely If you want blood (you've got it)

one of the best death metal bands out thair unfortunatly they split up
For those about to rock- AC/DC
Once More With Feeling- Placebo
One Fierce Beer Coaster- Bloodhound Gang
Some of the funniest songs ever
Follow the Leader- Korn
International Super Hits- Green Day
Old Green Day (ex: Dookie) Is loads Better than new Green Day (ex:American Idiot)
And Stadium Arcadium- Red Hot Chili Peppers
I Also think that the Offspring are due for some new material as well as Linkin Park

These two should be on the list for sure.

Descendents - All
Bad Religion - Against the Grain
Naked Raygun - Jettison

I have to admit, I used to be a Maiden fan too...
Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast :D
