I am just curious If Blizzard has made or planned to a make Single-Player campaign to WOW.

Or at least a WOW world editor so
that you may create you own little single-player
RPG`s.

What do you think?

No. WoW will be online only. Making it single player would defeat the purpose of it being a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game.

Is there a possibilty that Blizzard might make a single-player add-on to WOW. Either a SP campaign or an tool that allows you make own adventures, both single and multi-player.

Not a chance. I'm not quite sure that you understand what a MMO game is, and if you've actually played a MMO game before.

The idea is that it is a single, giant, online universe. You have a character that you can roleplay as yourself, and you interact with other characters in the giant world. It would be completely inane to add on single player campaigns. They're simply not needed, and they'd be incredibly boring (in comparison to the online gameplay). A MMORPG isn't your average, run-of-the-mill game.

Sorry Champ >_<;;.

No. That's because of little kids who post in an abnormal large font size.

No, if you were able to play on LANs and home servers, you would be allowed access to the WoW server files, which would once again totally defeat the purpose of the MMO. Nobody in their right mind would pay the monthly fee for the game if others could easily set up WoW servers free of charge.

Also, the WoW servers are incredibly complex, and I would assume consist of gigabytes and gigabytes worth of files. It would be no easy task setting up a personal WoW server, and with the constant updates on the server, one's efforts to set up a personal WoW server would be completely futile.

That will never happen. That is why it is solely a multiplayer game.

Sounds like multiplayer is meant for big corporate server-giants to maintain per Wow-game. Not like your everyday home-RPG on zhe net. And what's wrong with CAPS? Sometimes people write with too small font here anyways, so some huge, illeteriate text...makes it more easier to understand, then a small sized, long paragraph...we atleast go the question real and ready, withouth a long way around it..muaheh..muahahehehehaaaehhh...enough ranting n' rambling alreadey...

It won't happen. You can play single player in WoW, by that I mean never team up with anybody, turn on the chat filters to block everything out, and pretend anybody else you see on the screen is a NPC.

Although an idea does spawn from this...what if Blizzard created servers with certain mods? I mean, I bet you the engine could be used in various ways. Imagine if they had a modded server or two, where you could play WoW with a different spin on things. Yeah...the chances of it happening are slim to none, but hey, one can dream. Although I'm guessing any massive ideas they have they'll just implement into the regular game.

Which reminds me...have they announced how many servers they are going to have at launch? Having played the game, I can tell you right now that with close to 2000 players the game is already getting very crowded in certain areas. Just imagine what happens when the thing goes live. -_-

Unfortunately it can't work like EVE; that game has endless galaxies to fill.

To the newbies wanting to play it offline...it would somewhat defeat the purpose of having the game a MMORPG. (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) The entire concept revolves around a constant, living breathing world that exists 24/7. If they released the server files, hacking of all sorts would come up, and the people who chose to play it online would find it impossible to do so. This is why Blizzard made the Realms for Diablo II...as long as they kept the files serverside, hacking was kept to a minimum. If you recall Diablo I that had the player keep all the files...that was a complete disaster.

Whoo...tangent.

Perhaps Blizzard shouldn´t make a SP campaign to WOW.

But It would been cool If they made a form of WOW for only Single-Player.
Then they could perhaps make the events to take place where we last left Arthas you know.

Kinda like Warcraft 4 in PRG form, It would kinda Intressting.
But I doubt they ever will.

Kat made a news post elaborating on this a bit. They will likely have multiple servers, certain servers having little variations on the game (ie. Roleplaying, MAYBE PvP, etc.). The sky's the limit, so we'll see ^_^.
