they talk about sc2 on blizzard website in the ghost faq: "is this sc2?" they basicly say that it is not but they will come out with one.

Anywho, since SC2 apparently is never f-ing coming out, I'll go play Warcraft II, or Diablo II. And while I'm at it, BattleZone 2, Halo 2, and Final Fantasy XLVI. Mhuh.

It makes sense why they haven't made SC2. Think about it- who would ever want to develop it? You have to make a sequel for what is widely assumed to be one of the greatest games ever made. If you screw up, your career is going to be in serious jeopardy. Blizzard wants to take their time to make absolutely sure that the game is as good as it can be, so that the SC Community will accept it and hopefully it will be better than Brood War.

They have the ability to make a game that is just as good or better than the original. In Blizzard we trust.

It does not make any sense economically to not produce a product that you know people will buy.
