Is it possible to make a Hunter Killer that can transform back and forth from hydra to lurker without mods? I know Extra Editor and Star Forge can do some crazy stuff, and I was just wander if it was possible with triggers. Like when the hunter killer is commanded to burrow he starts to morph into a lurk or something.
Thanks
I'd really doubt it. You could set a beacon to switch a hunter killer to a lurker, but that wouldn't really work very well. I'm afraid you may need mods for that kind of work. Eg, memgraft, for the lurker to get a button to turn back, etc.
You can probably do it. I don't know if you could make so it would be activated when the unit burrows. It can be done, however. heres how I would do it:
Set a specific Location over a place marker, Like a becon, and make a unit that would go onto the place marker. Make sure this area the unit and Place marker are located is inaccessable by any other unit on the playing field.
Now create another location anywhere. we will call this the Lurker Local. then make another Location in the back of the walled off area. we will cal this, Teleport.
Conditon:
Player 1 brings exactly one Civillian (our Place holder unit) to Location Place Holder.'
Triggers:
Center Location Lurker Local on unit Hunter Killer
Kill unit Hunter Killer owned by Player 1 at Lurker Local
wait 2000 miliseconds (2 second)
Create one Lurker at Location Lurker Local for Player 1
Move all units for player 1 at Place Marker to Teleport.
Preserve Trigger.
Comment: Lurker Spawn
That should Work At least once...
