Computer Disk Drive Ploblems-Please Help

Ok get this, after I receveid a new sc disk i enter it into my cd drive. It sounds like it is going good until it ,makes a slow grinding sound a pop-up says there is no disk in cd drive. So I take out the disk and there is no scratch marks. what is wroung?

(BTW, I tried every way to access the cd)

Your cd drive probably broke. Make sure the CD is recognized on a different computer.

If the Cd runs on other drives than it as suggested your drive is broke or it's lens may be damaged and or dirty which prevents it from reading info off the cd.
Are any any other cds working?
