I owned the first for a while (sold it to help pay bills), and enjoyed it very much, but I do not feel that it is the "end all, be all" game that others make it out to be. Like people who purport that Final Fantasy is the epitome of role playing. I grew up playing Final Fantasy since the first came out, and up until FF VIII they were all very good games (all the new ones are awful, imo -- I couldn't even bring myself to finish X), but they are not as good as some make them out to be.

The multiplayer is great, especially going on a splattering-spree in a ghost.

I never really liked to co-op or campaigns (most of the time I just end up killing my teammate cuz I'm bored), and I've never played on line. On a scale of 1/10 I'd give it eight, I can't really compare because I've never played timesplitters.

Ah I love Halo, Halo is my sweet butter I spread across my life every time I use it. Although yes it is an over rated game, the FF games are pretty over rated too. The sword is considered a power weapon along with the sniper and rocket launcher. The Brute shot isn't anywhere close to that.

I did enjoy it, perhaps its just because I don't play many other games to compare it to. I thought the 2nd wasn't that great but I haven't played much MP which is what I heard is the sole definition of the game. Morrowind and Oblivion are the only games I have time for, even then I haven't had any time to play Oblivion yet:cry: When I finish my semiester I plan to play oblivion full time:D

I think the first Halo was really good, fun MP because it was almost perfectly balanced (except pistol, which requires some skill to use anyway), just like Starcraft. Good games always have few weapons so they are easy to balance and give true variety rather than percieved variety, which is why I didn't like Halo 2 as much.

1. Lol. Things dont melt on contact with the shield. A crowbar would do damage to him if weilded by another Spartan or someone of equal strength. A normal person hitting him would just have the crowbar bounce off to no effect and a severely pissed Masta Cheif.

2. Ummm. No he can't. It's not a radar it's a motion sensor, if you've never noticed, you move alot slower and more carefully when you crouch.

3. That has nothing to do with his #3 but to you Weekend: No, doesn't morphine slow you down and make you drowsy? If it does then why would you want that in the middle of a fight? He's a soldier and has been trained to ignore pain. He probably does get little boosts of stuff to speed him up.

4. Yeah, the MC is a supersoldier, and no WL that's not completely true. Even though the MC has great skills that does not mean that he just walks over his enemies. He has trouble too.

5. He was genetically enhanced after his training. Stronger bones, quicker reflexes, powerful muscles and the like. But regardless, he would have been an excellent soldier without the enhancements. The Spartans are also the only people who can use the MJOLNIR combat suits because if another person tried to put it on they would not be able to move their own body fast enough with the suit and it would break their bones, the book has a better explanation.

6. WL: Yes messages can "only" be sent that fast, but reflexes is the measure of how long it takes you to realize, "Hey that big rock is falling towards me!". He can see these things happen much faster than you.

7. This is getting into seperate universes and we can't really say who's guns are better. But yes the MC could use those guns but he would probably get pwnt by them.

8. Again, unless someone hit him very hard then it would just bounce off, not melt on impact. The shields on his armor are anti-projectile so the bullets bounce off, not melt. It does dissipate the plasma though.

9. Wow, just wow Spawn. You should do a little research on Halo yourself. WL: being smart about theoretical physics may help that character towards his goal, but the MC doesn't need to know that when he is fighting.

10. No the MC was not frozen for a long time, just for a few days or weeks. He has been fighting for over 30 years and has plenty of combat experience.

I think both are pretty good games, the only complaint with Halo 2 being all of the brats and idiots on Xbox Live, but that isn't really its fault. I hate how people whine and complain about how the Halo 1 pistol wasn't put in Halo 2. That gun was too powerful and overused in Halo 1, and I'm glad that it was taken out.

I can't wait for Halo 3, though. That game looks pretty cool so far, despite how short the trailer was...

I somewhat agree with the whole strength thing, but have you read the books? It pretty much explains why he is so strong, but I see what you mean of why opponents aren't flung across the room.

1.a few pistol shots?my god it takes alot more than that to put down his shields temporarly.A crowbar?the crowbar would snap or melt with contact with chief's shield.
2.what part of advanced radar don't you get?he can STILL detect friendly & hostile targets even when they are crouched.
3.play halo before you make assumptions.
4.chief doesn't lack any training, again play halo before you make random assumptions.
5.in what respect?i'll tell you, speed,power,reflexes,intelligence, ect.
6.his body limits have been altered, alowing further advancement.
7.i've never used a grav gun but chief can, his suit interfaces with weapons and he has an A.I. that can pull weapons data out of enemy computers.

Seeing as most of your responses are out of cannon (and that you even claim yourself to be an idiot) I cannot take your response seriously. This leads me to question myself, why did I take on your list in the first place?

Also, note that when I mentioned you were an idiot in my previous paragraph, I was not attempting to be insulting (since you state that you are an idiot yourself). Furthermore, my response to the eleventh item in your list was not an insult either; I was meerly attempting to imply that you stating that the MC has "powered battle armor" is not unique in any way, especially since Dr. Freeman also posseses a type of rechargeable armor.

6. You're talking about how fast the MC can percieve things. A reflex is something you don't think about doing - in fact, a pain signal for example, gets processed in the spinal cord (which sends the appropriate signals to muscles to move away from the pain) before it's even processed in the brain! Also, if you say it's possible to speed up the transmission time of a nerve signal, I ask you to first study how nerves work.
11. HEV suits recharge.

Energy swords are the ultimate godmode weapon. But they're fun when everyone's equipped with one in multiplayer. :D

I just would like to put my 2 cents in. the books are awsome and it does do a good job of explaining the whole SPARTAN program. And who Master Cheif really is and what they had to go through to become what he is in the game.

Neo, have you read any of the Halo books? From the last post I think not. Why don't you like HALO? The story line in the books are very well done and I think if you had the chance or choice to ready HALO please do so. Do you like to read? I don't like to read that much, but when I played HALO and then heard that there where books I needed to read it to understand what Master Cheif was and how he became that way. The auther of the HALO books is Eric Nylund, he has done a great job of explaining what Master Cheif is and how he became a SPARTAN. If you don't like it, you don't like it, though I always tell my children( yes, I have 3 of them) how do you know you'll like it if you have not tried it. If this is way out there I'm sorry, you may have your reasons why you don't like it that's fine. I thought that maybe if you read the books you might like HALO.;)

The answer to the question is in First Strike or Fall of Reach not sure don't have enough time to find out, Yes they have had major enhancements done to them, and the reason why is the MJOLNIR combat armor. The human body can not survive in the armor. Once the siut is turned on and the human runs or jumps the body is liquified, because the armor moves so fast. The enhancements make the human body tuffer, they infuse metal not sure what type to the persons bones, they have an interface implanted in to there brian and also have an 1 or both eyes replace with optical implants. The list goes on and I can't finish, I need to go home. Yes I'm at work.:o

What the fuck? Dude seriously. It takes very little to spell out words like "to" or "you" instead of using numbers. In fact if your typing naturally, to reach a number takes more then it does to just spell something out.

I enjoy multiplayer on Halo 2, but never really got into the single player side. I've played some of the Halo2 campaign co-op with a friend, and it just wasn't as fun. Maybe it's the lack of competitive atmosphere, or something like that. With multiplayer, at least over a LAN, you know you'll be running into your opponents and allies frequently, usually within a minute or so of the game ending. Just makes the interaction with the other players more fun.

Yeah Modred, campaign is pretty boring though I think it's pretty fun on co-op when you're on legendary since you have to coordinate alot more with your buddy because if he dies you start over to the last checkpoint.
