The brimstone pit of anal exams,
Causing grown men to scream.
All except our dear Schwitzer.
Why does he enjoy them so?
They are truly horrifying,
Yet Schwitty begs for more.
How many of you have to go through this crap? As much as they are useful for cramming information into one's brain, are there any of you who are tired as hell of studying so much for them?
I've just finished the last of five final exams; I think I've slept maybe a total of ten hours the past week and a half. Although I'm pretty happy right now as a result of being done with the semester, my body is crying over its above-LD50 dose of caffeine - I can't fall asleep at all yet I'm physically exhausted.
Note: Posts commenting on the extreme youth/immaturity of college students, similar to those so commonly expelled from the anuses of members like Kingscrab, are not welcome in this thread.

Although I'm not that stage yet, I've been getting close to the time where I've replaced my sleep with a direct infusion of sugar from the following sources: Glucose supplments, Fruit Loops Cereal, Rice Kryispe treats, massive amounts of chocalate chip cookies, and other candies.

You're just finishing now? I'm 2 weeks into my new semester - co-op semester mind you.

and anyway im not looking forward to finals. though i know ill do good, i just am not looking forward to them.
although once i take them i will be free. so maybe i am.

i hate exams. The past two weeks i've had 3 AP tests two of them two days in a row. I finally had my last one today and even though i did horrible on it i'm happy to have it done. i can finally enjoy the rest of my year.

For some reason I thought this thread was about getting your prostate checked.
I have my last final tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM. Only five finals this semester, pretty well spread out over a week. Of the six classes I've taken, final grades have been posted in four. But that's expected, since I still have an exam in one and the other exam was yesterday morning. Shooting for a 4.0, but I don't know if it's mathematically possible for the class I have tomorrow. Bombing a test kind of throws off your chances at making an A.
Speaking of which, does anyone else find it slightly funny that if you do very well on all of the regular tests in a class, you can make something around a 60 on the final and make an A. But if you make a 60 on one of the regular tests, even a perfect score on the final may only bring you up to a B+ or A-. Gotta love weighted grading...

I have four classes out of the way, A's in all of them. I'll be continuing my other two classes through the semester, so no finals for those yet.

I rarely studied for quizes and tests. According to one of my teachers, I had the ability to retain info just by hearing it. I could be doodling or writing a fic and would still be able to finish quizes and tests a good 10-15 minutes before everyone else. Plus, I would usually have the highest score. ;)
Those state required exams I didn't really give two shits about, because I hated them. IMHO, they actually screwed up the learning process.

I have the first semester exams in quite a few weeks. They are "so far away" that I have not done any serious study for them. But no doubt I will do a lot when they loom closer. And the TEE at the end, I'll probably have to do LOTS of revision for them as well. I should ban myself from all online forums and Warcraft 3 during that time.
In regards to the title, its not actually true to the topic of the thread. My interpretation was something vastly different, so I only replied when I found that it wasn't about that.
In my humble, but always correct, opinion, its not great to overdose yourself in keeping yourself awake for exam study. No doubt it does terrible stuff to your body, and will probably cause you to do much worse in the exams than you would have done. Maybe I'm not used to serious exam stress or something, though. Just my opinion.
Speaking exams for Languages are horrible. I've done mine in French and am kinda worried about the German one now, even though it is my stronger language.
I'm sure I'll be ok though. *crosses fingers*
I do find exams annoying.

I don't think that anyone understands the joke where Schwitzer changed the title from the original "final exams" to "anal exams," then fenguin in retaliation changed it to what it is now.
