Will post more as I get 'em and have time

The Druids Aquatic Form. I have water disabled so I can see the ocean floor which gives the strange effect seen here. The crate is actually floating in the water.

When I first started using a gun, it was amazing how bad my shot was. I was missing fat ogres from less than 2 feet away. I'm pretty sure you'd have to be a retarded monkey to miss like that.

Call of the Grave curse. Deadly stuff if you don't have someone in your group to get rid of it

The Crossroads in The Barrens with my Druid in Cat form.

Everquest was such a frustrating game to me, because it had so much potential and never delivered. Blizzard has made so many aspects of this game fun, that it's sure to be a huge success. Where you only catch 'fish' with your fishing skill in EQ, you get an absolute huge variety of thinks to catch with fishing in this game, including notes like this.

An interesting bug you find in some places. You can pass through the ground just by a few milimeters in some places, and see through to the other side. Here I am 'in' the deadmines from Westfall.

I just upgraded my graphics card from an old 64meg TNT card which was giving me all sorts of graphic errors like this.

An infamous Blizzard of Guardian

When you finish this quest you have to read Jitter's complete Journal. It's actually a well written 19 mini-page story.

I think my druid would have an easier time swimming that huge thing compared to my poor mail-wearing dwarf.

Seriously, how could you miss this with a gun at any skill level?

Stitches. If you haven't seen a picture of him yet then welcome to the World of Warcraft. It's a fun game.

A sunken ship in an underwater playground.

Eating in Westfall. It is amazing how much better the new graphic card (a radeon) is than the TNT. There is actually lighting effects with the new card. Wow! :)

A poster from the Punisher movie. Shot on location in the Undercity.

http://war2.warcraft.org/wow/26.jpg
Check out the bottom right hand corner. I hope these hyenas don't get to keep 'Touch of Death'. I have a feeling they only have it now to keep people like me out of zones we shouldn't be in :)

http://war2.warcraft.org/wow/27.jpg
A true fisherman's picture. After catching a bunch of old weapons and other useless junk, I was going to sell it all and accidentally sold my main sword. So, like any good fisherman, I beat the crap out of everything with my fishing rod until I could afford a new one.

http://war2.warcraft.org/wow/28.jpg
Twilight Grove. This zone is absolutely beautiful. You have to see it. If you take a look waaaaaay back in time at the Warcraft 2 campaign map, this is actually where the Dark Portal was located
(http://www.winnieinternet.com/games/war2/images/map.jpg) I do believe I am looking at the location of the Dark Portal.

I didn't know whether to buy WoW, seeing how dissapointed I was with W3, but this convinced me that I should. :)

Great screenshots.

Ooh, I especially liked the last two screenies. The overall look and effects of that spirit are great! And the waterfalls on the last one are just really spiffy ^_^.

I am not the biggest fan of War3 either, but I find WoW really fun. I havent played a game this much for a long time.

nice screenshots but the game looks basically like warcraft, with the same graphics buta zoomed in camera! Do you agree? I know it may be work in progress but come on, they have to do better than this to compete wih everquest and live up to the huge expectations. but I may be wrong and the gameplay may be something magnificent but the graphics dont look up 2 scrATCH

The graphics are better than you realize, And graphics do not make a great game. Everguest 2 may have better graphics but WoW is going to kick its ass in Gameplay and Story.

Now my feelings for the game rised a bit. Hope they make it hack-proof, so nobody come up with a massmurder character. Please, Blizzard, pretty pleaseĻ?

I couldn't disagree more ^_^.

Everquest 2 and World of Warcraft are going two entirely different routes when it comes to graphics. World of Warcraft has decided to keep the Warcrafty-cartoony but still with a hint of lifelike graphics. Some people may object to this, but most Warcraft fans can't get enough of it. The idea is that WoW is an entirely different universe. It isn't so much a stem of our world, but really something completely unique. They don't have to follow the traditional life-like graphics if they don't want to, because it is their world to toy with.

I personally like the cartoony graphics, and I'll elaborate a bit more on that in a bit.

On the other hand, Everquest has decided to make the game's graphical content as lifelike as possible. I generally don't think this is the way to go and my reasoning for this is as follows:

* The ridiculously heavy system requirements for the game - Have you even read the current requirements for EQ2? Most people that want to play the game that haven't upgraded within the past while will have to totally revamp their system to play this game:
Recommended Specifications:
Operating System: Windows XP
Processor: 2 GHz or greater
RAM: 1 GB
CD-ROM: 16x CD-ROM or DVD-ROM
Video Card: DirectX 9 compatible. Pixel shader and Vertex shader compatible hardware with 128mb of texture memory or greater
Sound Card: Sound Blaster Audigy

* The failure to make the game completely lifelike - you'll find that although certain aspects of the game look great, with our current technological capabilities, it is impossible to achieve what the EQ devs want to achieve. When you're trying to go lifelike, you go all-out, or you don't bother at all. It's going to be much more work to get the graphics going smoothly for EQ2, and certain aspects of EQ2 will still end up looking 'meh'ish.

* The size of updates//patches - very likely to be gigantic, more detailed graphics to render = larger file sizes. Have fun waiting an hour just to patch the game so you can play a new area ^_~.

As stated earlier, World of Warcraft is avoiding all of these problems by forgetting about the 'life-like' jazz. Sure, you may not get the idea "hey, this looks life real-life!", but hell, it isn't supposed to be like real life. It's a game, and nobody wants to play a game exactly like real life (if we did, we wouldn't bother with the games).

I'm going to enjoy the WoW graphics, probably much more than I would enjoy the graphics modelled after real life. I'm going to be immersed into the Warcraft universe that I've grown to know and love. Sure, the graphics are similar to that of Warcraft 3 (except probably 100X better), but they're supposed to be. They were the original models for the Warcraft characters, and I see no reason to stray from them.

Ah well, [/rant]. I like the graphics. I think going the cartoony-look will do Blizzard well. I think not having to worry about texturizing everything to death will save both Blizz and us gamers a lot of trouble. I suppose when it comes down to it, it's based on personal preference though ^_^.

Now my feelings for the game rised a bit. Hope they make it hack-proof, so nobody come up with a massmurder character. Please, Blizzard, pretty pleaseĻ?

I wouldn't worry too much about that. The PvP system, as it stands, is incredibly restrictive (you can probably tell I'm not exactly thrilled about it certain aspects of it now X_x).

From a recent post I've read, two characters of different factions have to agree to do battle before they can actually attack eachother (not including NPCs). This means that if an Orc manages to sneak into Stormwind, avoiding the unfriendly NPCs, he can just chill in the city. A thousand different, opposing faction, playable characters may see the Orc in the city, but they won't be able to touch him unless he agrees. If the Orc does agree, he would be sent to an instanced zone with the person//party that wanted to fight him.

I think this is a wee bit inane, but hopefully Blizz will revise this before the end of beta. If not, hopefully there'll be a PvP server ^_^.
