So, in the fun of the star trek(krap) * edited to apease the great Neo.... LOL :P /star wars debate I thought i would age myself here and ask the audience.

Which was the better car and driver/ or team if you will

1) The General Lee with the Duke Boys

2) Smokey and the Bandit, with Trans Am and Kenworth.

Please give me your thought

Usual rules apply

Yeah. Stop refering to Star Trek as star krap.

I don't refer to star wars as star shit -- because it isn't. Its really fucking moronic to claim "omg I love star wars and star trek sucks". I am a Sci-Fi fan and I like a lot of it.

Star Wars just isn't my favorite, but I don't go around posting like a moron.

And how would you expect anyone here to even know who those two are? =P

Neo apparently you've never heard of those choices. General Lee is the name of the car used in the TV show Dukes of Hazzard. And the trans am is famous from the movie Smokey and the Bandit.

Dukes of Hazzard is a new movie. And incidentally, Smokey and the Bandit was released the same year that Star Wars was released, 1977. ;)

Personally I think that the General Lee is some of the sweetest wheels around. I actually enjoyed watching the show occasionally, but when the movie came out and they started playing the reruns more often, I got kind of sick of it.

Unlocked! Woo woo! My vote = Smokey's Trans Am. But it didn't do too terribly much offroading, which seemed to be General Lee's bread and butter.

Depends... Does the General Lee come complete with the Duke boys shooting dynamite arrows out the window and Daisy's booty hangin' out of her cut off shorts?

If so... General Lee ftw! :_owned:

Hey! Nobody said anything about Daisy. IMO, if we're going to add her, then she should be a choice in herself. Because frankly, I'd pick Daisy over a couple of dumbass cars anyday.

Gas prices going through the roof may or may not be party to my decision.

Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke from Dukes of Hazzard)

-vs-

Sally Field (Carrie from Smokey and the Bandit)

Difficulty: As they appear today, not during their respective character roles.

Difficulty: As they appear today, not during their respective character roles. Yikes. After a 2 minute google, I'll give Sally the vote simply due to smaller body mass.

Effect on gas mileage did influence my vote. :o

Wtf O.o

Did I lock this? Sorry, didn't mean to. Having connection troubles :/

And Star Wars is a tad more popular then either of these =P

The Duke boys would find a bridge thats out or some mass of dirt or a ramp and jump it.

Bit of trivia: 300 General Lee's were used during the show's run. The cars would go up fine, but they would be totaled when they landed.

What the hell are you talking about? Sheesh.

And it's sort of a weird contrast--Catherine Bach was omfg HOT back in the day. Apparently that didn't age well. No wonder we never saw "Where is she now..." pics after the new Dukes of Hazzard came out (or bombed).
