Just a-wondering whatever happened to the most excellent walkthrough for Starcraft that was over at Starcraft.org? I remember eons ago when I first purchased Broodwar seeing if they had a walkthrough for that expansion pack as well, but unfortunately they didn't.

I recently decided to resurf to that section again ( http://www.starcraft.org/strategies/walkthrough ) to see if maybe they had created one, but alas, even the original SC walkthrough seems to have gone missing. At least for the original SC walkthrough, ages ago I had luckily saved the HTMLs (complete with images and map pics) and complied it to a single standalone Windows CHM format help file ;)

Anyways, I guess I have two questions: What happened to the original SC walkthrough, and did Starcraft.org ever create a BW walkthrough (with map pics)?

Well, I don't have a clue if they did make a BW walkthrough, and I wasn't around when there was a normal SC walkthrough. But if you still have it, and it's really good, can you cut, paste and poste it here plz?

I would, but the problem is I'm on a dialup, and the zipped CHM file is over 24 megs <G>.

RFNagel, the main problem with data loss at SC.org occured when they were hitted by a worm (a while back) that crashed the server, thus making it lose many stuff they had, if not the vast majority stored at the moment. Most likely that was the case with your "walkthrough". Damned techie nerds hacker wannabes! :P

Thanks for the info -:) yeah, I had a hunch that was prolly what happened, damned viri/worms/hackers -:(

What made these walkthroughs so great, may I ask?

I think the best walkthroughs would be a combination of strategies and replays.

They were written quite well (and included several descriptive screenshots for each mission), and <IMHO> were better than any of the "official" printed strategy guides that I had seen.

Thanks for the info, AJ -:)

I take it that means that there used to also be one for Broodwar (or not)?

"Angels sang, in immacualte chorus,
when down from the heavans
came AJ(doesn't really fit where chuck norris was in the song...o well)."

Meh

For all zerg the strategie is: Hydralisks, Guardians 'n Devo's with optionally muta's.

I whooped major ass on Omega this morning with that combination.

Ah, yes omega...I hate that level.
Was good one to do for my fanfic though :D
NastyApe, how do you suggest how you should complete it?

Meh. Just play regular ZvT/P strats (DS/ultras/lurkers/lings) and you can defeat Red and Blue quite easily. UED is owned if you simply keep your original army and add Scourge in copious amounts to it.
