I've looked pretty deep into Starforge 2.2 where I could possibly double the fire rate but havent found anything like it, does it have to do with strings?

Welcome to WarBoards, mutalisk46802!
You can double the game speed with SF by placing Scarab sprites (x2speed) for player 14,
Or placing Intercepor sprites(x4speed) also for player 14, but that speeds up everything (e.g. movement) exept build speed.

Oh ok, it speeds up everything. Well thanks EvilEmpire anyway and hi everyone!

Double the fire rate of what? Some unit(s) for a map? If it's for a single set of units on a map, that can only be done through modding. :P
I do know that there's a way to speed maps up by having a Player 14 Scarab or Interceptor on the map... I do hope that this is what you meant anyway. :o
For details on how to pull it off, check here (http://www.staredit.net/index.php?tutorial=1). And although Evil' was right on the most part, he simply forgot some. ;)

Daymn you almost beat me to it Basan. I meant exectly what i meant because i've done tests and some stuff mentioned at staredit.net are not essential, thats why i kept it simple:P

And what's not essential? The placing of units in the 1st place? that could help a lot the thread author and later on others that might see it. ;)

Well I kind of did mean increase the fire rate of a single unit because I thought starforge could do that, but I guess they can only speed up the whole map. I dont want to mod it to change it because then you couldnt play the map online, or could you?
You still could play that map online... just ain't sure if on melee or FFA's. :o
And you can play mods online... provided all the players have the exact same version of the mod and use it when connecting to the map game itself. :) Or at least I believe so, since haven't tried it recently with the latest game patch (aka v1.13f).

... haven't tried it recently with the latest game patch (aka v1.13f). Works just fine.
Both occasions tested:D
i should really stop doing this "answer-every-post-thing" dont i...

I was replying to the map getting it's speed 'upgraded' wouldn't affect it's online performance. Although am almost sure that it would prevent it from being played as melee or FFA, only playable as an UMS.
Please read more carefully next time. :P

Agreed... on both issues. :D
