I'm fairly new to making maps and have run into a strange error. A friend and I played through the map on B-net to test it. When we won there was an error in the victory triggers so that only one of us won. I fixed the bug, but we didn't want to play through the map all over again that night so I also set up the units so it would end right away. When it ended it kept giving both of us draws(we should both win). Is this my fault, or is it some kind of blizzard map hack safeguard? If it's the later will the map work when I remove the units that end the game right away?

Do you need that even if you turn it on in the forces menu?

No you wouldnt need to. But its better to set Force1 victory instead of Player1 victory.

If your wondering what the mod is, I got the SC campaign Maps online and am trying to make some of them Co-op. I decided to start with the last mission of the first SC.

Oh, now I think to have got it. You're converting the SC campaign maps to be played with a friend against AI players online as UMS (campaign) maps, right? :shiftyl: Unfortunatly, in regular mapping you can't do that. :(

Although I'm somewhat doubtful if that can be done with the help of the diplomacy board at online games... and if that's so, you also must have it set to allied victory.

I hope this helps, 'cause there aren't many maps out there that can be played as online co-ops and mostly because SC-BW is an old game that hasn't got a powerful game engine (when comparing to WC3-TFT, for instance). The Zergrinch (http://www.battle.net/scc/OS/motm2000.shtml) is the only (SC-BW) map I recall of at the moment. ;)

I almost forgot... welcome on board, Zhirzzh. :)

Thank you. Why can't UMS co-op games work? to prevent map hacking? This is the map if anyone thinks they can help.

SC-BW is an ol' game... that, likewise, has an ol' game engine (so, not everything we liked it to be is possible :P). Hence you can make those kinds kinds of maps, but never a campaign to work for'em (read, link'em over when map victory condition occurs) because the action that sets it solely works for one single player. ;)

For the victory trigger to be right, just check Neu(t)ral Damage's post and be sure that you have both human players on the same force and that it is allied. Summing up: Yes, you do need it. :)

You can't get a victory in a game until about five minutes. If it ends before then it's a draw.

PS I have succesfully edited terran 1-10 and zerg 1-10 and protoss 10 (the one you've done) to work 2 player, so it's definately possible.
