I have about 8 gigs of music, yes I need get more.
I mostly have punk / rock band albums.

Some of them aren't playable though, I haven't bothered cleaning it out in a while. And a couple are duplicates. And about 32 of them are trance, over an hour each. I only listen to those when in the right mood. The rest is a wide variety, and I mean that.

no, my tastes are broad and varied. i irregularly shift genre's and artists and listen to different things depending on what im sick of hearing and what i havent heard in a while.

there are some things i listen to hardly at all, yes, but theres no real reason to delete music, so i dont.

I feel like the number of songs is more telling than the number of gigabytes, because some people rip their entire CD collections at 320kbps just to be an asshole to their hard drive, then proceed to listen out of 4-watt computer speakers built into their monitors :)

anyways I have 3304 songs (14.4gb), about a third from CDs and the rest from downloads. no duplicates and i keep them all tagged and organized. and i like them all :)

Mostly, if not all the CDs are with Heavy Metal, Rock, Rock'n Roll, punk, Rock-Blues etc. etc.

Meh... I only have 1.3~ gigs, but it's all compressed, <3 dBpowerAMP Music Converter's compression abilities.
It's mainly Linkin Park, Abba, Slipknot, Metallica, Rammstein, Nightwish, Sum 41, Freedom Call, KoRn, Nickelback, Godsmack, Iron Maiden, and Scooter.
I also have some by Led Zepplin, Queen, Nirvana, Green Day, Evanescence, Survivor, etc...

As a curosity what band did you listen to, to reach this conclusion. Maybe it was low quallity?

I've seen many low quallity songs, that to a first time listener would be total crap. And it would be total crap for everybody else.

the funny thing? i never used to like music. and without the internet i wouldnt like as much as i do now. i actually have plans to acquire more music, its just i dont have the room.
