View Full Version : Changing the victory status screen scrollbars?

I was playing a friend of mine on Battlenet last night, and this is how the victory status screen scrollbars looked (see attached image, me starting a single-player game on the map, and quickly cheating to victory to display the screen - bottom image in the pic, top one is regular scrollbars).

How is that accomplished in a map file (just a-wondering)?

If your color is not that of player 1-12, that'll show up. Basically, the color is incompatible with the SC game engine, and it'll display that instead.

I've seen that before in games. How can your color not be that of players 1-12? Is that only possible in UMS games?

You can change the default player colours in a map by loading it in a program like GUEdit and selecting different ones (Brood War maps only I think). Other colours include Pale Yellow, Tan, Blueish Green, Cyan and Black, although some of these colours don't work on different map types.

StarForge and SCMDraft2 also support this. Some of them are just weird, like Glowing Metallic Light Blue, Army (shades of green, brown, and black), and Transparent.

Thanks for all of the info, guys -:)

Hehe, I was thinking that was something that had been added to the map (i.e. a new graphic), guess not though <G>.
