hey,
I play starcraft, i look at starcraft.org, im not sure if this is even remotly an issue with warcraft.org. knowing that, let me continue.
the top 10 list for fanfiction is obsolite (<- good word but i cant spell), just going by the ammount of times it has been viewd has caused problems:
1. some1 can get into the top 10 just on a catchy title.
2. once on the top 10 they have more publicity and people think its good, so they look at it and realise it sux.
3. once it hits nomber 1 it has the most publicity and everyone is viewing it, and seeing how bad it is.
4. this waistes space and time that would normally be spent on a good story (almost like this thread)
here's how i think the problem should be fixed, multipy the views by the user rating, so if a story has 2000 views but only 5% rating, it gets knocked down to 100 (incert catchy name for units of measure here).
views x rating = actual
my thoughts,
