View Full Version : Free StarCraft Cursors

For a while I've been stuck on something to do. Then I thought, why not recreate the cursors in starcraft for Windows?

I did that, then felt they were so cool I had to share them with the StarCraft fans here.

After dl'ing them, extract them to the directory "C:\Windows\Cursors" Then go to the control panel->Mouse->Pointers and set the following:

Normal Select---StarCraft.ani
Busy---StarCraftLoading.ani
Busy in Background---StarCraftLoading.ani
Precision Select---StarCraftSelect.cur
Link Select---StarCraftSelect.cur
Text Select---StarCraftText.curThen save the scheme as "StarCraft" and hit Apply. You're all set!

I will allow these pointers to be hosted on other sites as long as Harrierfalcon gets credit.

Every cursor is meant to resemble one in StarCraft except for the Text one, that I just made up.

Oh well, those are kinda choppy in their animations, Not to mention the pointer reflects light slower than mine.

It's still good, but mine are a little different. The "Loading" is the upgrade bar with the SC font saying "Loading" it looks cool instead of the 4-frame choppy as all can be DNA strand thing. Try it and see.

I'll try to find a pic of my desktop where my SC cursors are being used... but since you spoke that they're better, then I'll just take a look never the less. :shiftyl:

The follow-link pointer is a bit annoying, since you (I) expect the actual ponting-area to be the dot in the circle, and not somewhere slightly above the circle... Many wrong links have already been clicked in the 10 minutes I've had it.

I myself thought they were kinda weird too, after a while....
Oh well...I fixed the Circle dot thing, I've attached it here.

btw, if any StarCraft people here just so happen to be Zelda fans as well, I've made cursors for that too :) here:
