Okay in an effort to help this little clan along some and seeing as I've got a free weekend coming up sometime in the near future I'm going to try to organize another game night and I'm also thinking about resetting the ladder to (hopefully) encourage ladder play again. I'll roll out some more details further on in the week.

actually, this can be with some use. ive been with shak, and theyve been creating a team shakuras, as a true clan, ready for clan wars. So im thinking, why not make a WB team and help them train, as well as vice versa. IF enough ppl like the idea then ill create a thread about it.

Exactly this isn't a training camp. I don't know any other clans thus we havn't done a cw yet. (thus why I appointed ahzz to be one of the clan masters. -.-)

What WickedImposter is talking about..

It's like a 5 man team or something, with the other 10 players on the team (for a total of 15) are "backups". Then, this 5 player team plays another team each weekend, it's something like 3 1v1's and 2 2v2's or 5 1v1's, not sure. It's over at that Shakuras forum. Oh, and you can challenge people for spots above you in your own team (So spots 1-15 are each filled with a certain player from best to worst), and hopefully you can attain one of the top spots to play each week.

So the team is like:
1)Jimbo
2)Jimbob
3)Larry
..
..
14)Barry
15)Jerry

Jerry can challenge Barry to a 1v1, and if he wins, he becomes #14 and Barry moves to #15. If there's a clan war, and player #3 doesn't show, player #4 plays in 3's spot, and then the next available highest # plays in 4's spot, etc etc. Thus, the motivation to challenge for spots is to play in the next "war".

Their team doesn't sound like it is fully organized yet, and I'm not sure when they'll start clan wars, but it sounds like they are actually going to be able to organize this, it sounded like someone knew some people from some other teams who were interested (when I say other teams, I mean from outside warboards and outside Shakuras).

If someone did this, I'd be interested in participating. Hell, I'd even start at the lowest rung and work my way up.

Maybe you could work this into your already existing ladder? Instead of using points, just use this system all the time.

Although, if you just want to cut to the chase, feel free to drop by our channel (Clan sS) any time and challenge sS members to a 1v1. We have players across the board as far as skill level is concerned so I'm sure you'll find at least 1 person you can beat.

I dont see what is wrong with trying to line up members by order of skill. It was a quick process to make the list. We just all voted on the relative position of each player. Players can change positions through challenges.

The benifet being that each player in the top 5 is forced to stay well practiced because they're facing challenge on a weekly basis. Players outside of the top five also work hard as replacements, good for training and keeping a strong reserve if anyone is missing on war day. I dont see a better way to make a strong team.

Ya well that's because a lot of ppl in the clan are inactive. I drop by bnet occasionally and i see Ahzz, sigey, midy, whiteshadow, lammas, nasty, Babs, chron and a few others. I've never seen more than half of the clan online. Maybe because of timezones,or w/e who knows. We could get this started if ppl were more interested in it :D

lol, I wouldnt trust what sharp says. He has the skill to make it on the top 5 but he is kinda ehh....the stupid one, to say the least.

BTW, blupp will get trounced if he doesnt practice, cause BG is better than I am (arguably ;)) and he's one of the lower players on the team.

Also to try and encourage some more competitive play between our own members I've reset the ladder system. The ranking's are still the same however you'll notice the 0's next to the names. So this will (hopefully) start that up again.

So sad... however, i too am considering leaving the clan. Before saying traitor, i have my reasons.
1) the .wb is practically just 2 letters and a period.
2) there isnt even any1 to play with, and out of them some 20-30 ppl in the clan, 6 or 8 are active.
3) i can get more experience from shakuras, most everyone there is active and they have people from all levels, cept pro :P

Actually, thats what shakuras and the op swbk guild is. A bunch of guys that get together and play sometimes. WB's is a clan, just not a very well organized one.

You know, since my transition from the WC3 section to the BW section here at WB, I never did quite figure out how/why everyone plays in channel Op SWBK. I mean, I wanted to see how good people at this site was, so I went there (that being the channel listed as the channel to play at), played a bunch of people who don't post here, then found out like a month later that it's like 4 different groups of people who all just play together in the same channel who migrated from other places/forums/whatever.

How did you guys end up in the same channel? And why do you "feud" with each other? Wierdest crap I've ever seen.
