On a side note it has come to my attention that there are quite a few people in this clan that are no longer active members around here. This is an official Warboards Clan Anouncement

We are pleased to anounce that "The Terran Legion" and the Official Warboards Starcraft Clan are merging to become one. This move has been made in order to insure that this forum does not split into two while trying to mantian some friendly competition in the clan. The terran legion will now be considered as a subdivision of the Warboards SC Clan comprised of all adhearing terran players. All players that are a part of the Terran Legion shall be implemented into the clan as members at their discretion. FOr any further information please contact me via pm.

We are also anoucing that we are going to have to disban a few members of the clan since they no longer seem active around here. This clean up will take place in the next few days.

If you're still confused: anyone on this forum who wants to join the Terran Legion immediately becomes members of the Warboards Clan. And any Warboards Clansmen can join the Legion if they predominately play Terran, or would like to play Terran every now and then with us.

We are a subdivision. That means we obey all of the Clan rules, but we will have a few separate regulations amongst ourselves (which I will run by U-238 before implementing them -- this is, afterall, his Clan and not mine).

I've also been meaning to get a website set up for the RP -- just to give everyone a visual idea of where we are in each battle. Maybe this will give me a reason to do so. :) To brag about our exploits, things of that nature.

Just remember, please, the idea behind this is to have a friendly rivalry. Don't actually get upset when you lose, and don't go overboard when you win. Think of it like a high school rivalry. You don't really hate the other school, you just make a point of reminding them who has the better team.

I am please to anounce that MidnightGladius has been elected as the clan master succeeding Grassdragon. Both he and Ahzz are second-in-commands now.

Also the clan clean up will commence very shortly. The list of members to be dissbanned is almost complete.

One more thing to note is that the ladder will be undergoing changes and will be reset in the near future as TheBB is working on some webbased ladder scripts to ease the amount of calculating I'll have to do when ever a new ladder game comes in. Please be patient as we'll try to make this as seemless as possible.

Basicly what currently happens in the ladder is you post a game in the ladder thread then I'll take it and calculate out the ratings and reset them up on the ladder page. While it's not difficult to do there's a marigin for error in the calculation and typos are always cause for a pause. Also entering thingsl, espesaly new players who've just played their first game, on the ladder is quite daunting since the amount of cut/copy/pasting is enough to be funney. Now I'm not whinning about it but TheBB is offering to help ease some of that work off by creating some scripts that will vurtually get rid of the calculating and messing with the ladder page all together. What it'll do is I'll navigate to a secret web page whenever I get a replay and I'll pick the winner and loser from a list and it will then calculate and give me the current ladder rankings that I can just copy/paste over the current ones. Much easier if you ask me right? ;)

Okay the clean up has been performed. We've knocked about 7 members. THe good new is, is that we have many more active members than I thought we had. However we're still one short on the ladder now. (24 players on a 25 spot ladder).

What's so bad about it? I pretty much do everything myself. She's busy schooling the other "pupils" :P It's really nice since the scheduling is so flexible I can pick and choose what I do each day instead of having to follow a strict schedule like a public school would make me do. Basicly it's "do everything you're assigned by the end of the week." and then I just do it whenever. And there's no homework :P

Scool in the US is free to. However college isn't since you have to buy everything required to complete your course. And those things needed add up to alot. Especaily books.

Not really. The US Armed Forces have an excelent retirement plan. You can get up to $2000 a month just for being an officer. Not to mention it pays very well in the first place.

Oh, does anyone have a mappack or something, with things like neo lost temple, luna, lost temple gamei etc. etc. in them? I downloaded the PGT one, but it would be grand if I had the maps which people play online. Connecting from the other side of the world doesn't exactly encourage people to let you download the map before unleashing the Boot.

I have an announcement to make. I am hereby giving up my DS rushing, and reserving it only for delicious cheesing purposes. I have found that, just like in pvz, very fast tech gets you a foot in ya ass. Flanking lurk/ling with some muts works just as well until DS. Of course this "drastic" change will only be a few minutes, I thought the public should be aware that a common menace is going dormant for a while. The children are safe to play in the streets now.

What relevance does this have to anything you might ask? Simple, I have noticed since the influx of nubbins arrived I have been posting far less then usual. And I think they deserve the same chance as anyone to enjoy my tasty spam first hand.

That post is so copmletely wrong I don't even know where to begin.

Tanks don't work at all vs. lurkers under darkswarm once they've burrowed.

Firebats can actually work ok vs. a darkswarm rush since their attack is classified as melee. Firebats won't work later in the game vs. darkswarm because there will be too many lurks. This is when you need to start laying mines.

Firebats are absolutely horrible against hydralisks.

Against a zerg that is macroing ultra/ling, it is a must to have a good amount of tanks (10+ usually works). Keep your tanks behind your m&m force. Attack his ultra/ling army with m&m while sieging tanks behind them. Once the ultra/ling army comes for your m&m run them back to your tanks and attack again once your tanks are in range of his ultra/ling army.

ask BaB for a rep, but i think its that you try to get DS as fast as possible, while making least amount of defense possible. BaBs DS rush can get DS under 10 minutes i think.

During the week I was doing it, I had lurker/ling, with sunks & consume ready defiler by the 10 minute mark. I think there is 2 reps where I did it in this thread, with varying success. Of course I was limited on gas, but it was still a nasty surprise for people who weren't ready. Ive learned however, that DS rush is best used in choice situations, like a fast expoing Terran.
