This is my bitch and moan thread.
Tomorrow I have to go back to uni after this mid semiester break. I am behind on most of my reading, I will get my NZ politics essay back which I'm fairly sure I failed (good content but badly written) and I get back a biochemistry exam which I am fairly sure I did badly in, then be given 2 more politics essays to do and I have another bio exam on saterday which I am not ready for. I am taking too many papers but I can't drop out and lose my money so I'm going to have to face reality and put in hard effort. I have considered dropping uni and picking up a job but I'd still have to stick out this term and in reality it would make it hard to get into the specialist career I desire. I definitely want to do absolutely nothing but play computer games but in reality I couldn't do that. And I want to become a Buddhist monk but in reality I'm not even Buddhist.
So you see my common problem with all alternatives, I need to quit reality and perhaps start a new one full of pink fluffy monkeys. Of course drugs sound like proper answer but in reality I'd have to pay/work for them. My problems aren't that bad in...reality, they just require some effort and coming to terms with reality.
 Stupid reality!!!! I want to sue it, but in reality I don't live in America so I couldn't do something like that.[/bitch&moan]

Of course, it's the bad times that make the good times so good.

You can /quit reality. All you need to do is play World of Warcraft. Everything else is meaningless then.
Trust me, I'm doing it right now because tomorrow is my first day of work at a new co-op placement >_>.

i won fifty bucks (deer) in my poker match last night.
Does bolding reality make it more real or something?
It gets better. I know people who have had worse times, so take comfort in that.

i dont really think being behind on homework is really something to be so pissed off about. i mean you did it to yourself and there are so many worse things out there. If you didnt have to work for anything then everything loses its value.

I sign all the above statements.
I haven't exactly been in strife as bad as you've written. Of course, I have school starting tomorrow, and I should be doing something to contribute for it. I have a physics test, and a Indo test in the second week which require work. There is no doubt that I will get a mountain of homework/things to study for tomorrow. Seriously, they would do that.
Around TEE time (scary exams everyone smart enough does at the end of Year 12), I will probably sink into something like this. It will be like:
"Nooo!!! I have an exam tomorrow which I'm not ready for! There is a whole pile of stuff I don't understand! I really should be studying... but what am I supposed to do? (starts sitting at desk, wondering what to do). I know, I'll read some more of file notes.... meh, I think I'll get a glass of water first."
On that note, you think that you should quit reality, but how lucky are you? Remember: You are privileged. How many people in the world do not have enough to eat? And how many never even reach primary school?

Yeah I know, I've been through far worse, but when things were worse I could look forward to the future or entertain unrealistic possibilities of how things will get better untill things got less depressing; but now things aren't so bad and I feel trapped into one option. Today I found out I got a B+ on one of my politics exams (forgot to mention about that one) which is pretty good, don't have the other results yet. And I get to do my essay on Jihad vs McGlobe.

My computer can't run it and I don't have enough money to spend at internet cafes. I am getting a new computer tomorrow (or Wensday) so I will be able to escape into oblivion modding, the actaul game doesn't seem too good. So I am in a good mood now, as long as I don't get a D in my essay or bio exam.

You should enroll at the University of the Philippines. They keep WALKING OUT of school to join rallies nowadays because of the new administration. Hey! It should be Labor Day for you people tomorrow, and Labor Day usually spells RALLY! Go on, you know you want to.
But seriously - your life isn't so bad. Just a few tests, nothing to worry about. In my country we have constant worry over a new insurrection. Just to give you a sense of perspective...
