I need to find the tutorials for WinMPQ and TblPad. They appear to be missing from StormCoast fortress' website. Of course, if any of you already know how they WORK, then please be so kind as to enlighten me.

eh, non need for simple programs such as those.

For tblpad, simply replace the words inbetween the <0>s
For winmpq, just run it once, and if you're using the updated version, MPQcompactor will do all the compiling for you

Well, those aren't exactly the most difficult programs to operate...

I am, of course, assuming that you're referring to their use in mod creation. If not, forgive me.

WinMPQ needs only to be run once and then exited for low-level modding. Then, you can drag and drop your modding folder onto MPQCompactor, and it'll expedite/automate the process for you.

TBLPad edits TBL files. Load the file you're planning to edit (mostly stat_txt.tbl), and select the string you want to edit on the left scroll menu. Then, change the value of the string in the top-right box. Various codes for color are located in the bottom-right box. Then, just save the file in your modding folder (usually in the /rez pathing).

EDIT: Guess Holocaust beat me to it.

1> DL your modding tools
2. Run WinMPQ once
3. Make your modding changes and save 'em in the right folders

eh....fuck it.

Are ya sure? :o They (http://www.stormcoast-fortress.net/cntt/tutorials/extracting/?PHPSESSID=22f1ca843ce8ee63fcb9f273611cee82) both work (http://www.stormcoast-fortress.net/cntt/tutorials/camsys/strings/?PHPSESSID=e5270b4ffa041f0438bf5dc157850139) fine for me. ;)

And please fellas, just clear a doubt of mine. The only thing supposed to be in e a folder inside the WinMPQ directory isn't the MPQ Compactor? And I ask this 'cause I saw a reference to MPQDraft 'round here recently. :P

The program for making stand-alone executables better not be MPQDraft... cuz it sure as hell isn't working for me!
