Problem with battlenet.

The damn thing just won't work.
I try to get in, it's like "Okay, iniating connection with Battle.net", and I'm like, "Yeah, cool", a deep inner conversation with it, and then, BAM! "Downloading data files." ..it's cool and all, but when I leave the PC, and come back, it's still downloading. It doesn't even seem to think, I turn off my firewall, allow all, etc. Many variants. ..like it's really NOT downloading files, just puts up a text pretending it does anything and then just lets me wait. What should I do? I'll explain later more. Before it was my cd-key was invalid..when it finished, but both are original!! ARGH!!!!!

Have you tried reinstalling? It could be that a data file Battle.net checks versions against is corrupted, which would cause a download attempt.

I might aswell add that I did, I also patched, but NO. It INSIST on "downloading data files" or "iniating connection", but I don't actually get the feel that it's really doing anything. Nothing gives the singal it's so busy that its slowing down my PC, or even worse, it doesn't say which files or anything, or what, why, no percent progress and all, just the text. It's like a joke. What could it possibly be downloading? When I have patched all, I expect everything to be ready to go, and EVERYTHING IS WORKING PERFECTLY EXCEPT THAT. Unique Reign of Chaos key, same for Frozen Throne, fully patched, broadbandwith connection, NOTHING gives a single damn clue what it might be. Overall no reason just than to piss me off...ARGGHHHHHH! Nothing makes sense, it's totally absurd!?!?!?! Yaaah..

Have you tried downloading and installing the v1.14 patch from Blizzard's website instead of the Battle.net auto-update?

Do that freaking reinstall and also try installing it with your friends' CD:s (if simple reinstall doesn't work), as all the CD:s are the same, but CD-keys differ.
Don't forget to consult Blizzard's tech support.

Yeah, who friends? Heh. Not that I don't have friends, but friends with the game.. I downloaded the patch manually, already. I'll try with Blizzard's tech support on this one, I think. Thanks for the, ah, support. Well, you atleast TRIED TO help me..and that's enough for me, to know someone even c-a-r-e-s, right? Right.

Seriously dude, just reinstall it. I had the same problem once. I reinstalled, and I was back on pwning noobs immediately lol.

No. He was obviously talking to me, of course, jerk, since I made the thread and it was MY problem. MINE! Though I finally got into battlenet, now it wont show any games and has a lot of bugs, like create game and it just disables all buttons and does nothing but play fancy music, and the lists show no games, and the quick game search sometimes refuses to work. Worked first, but then I canceled since I figured it was a duel, and I didn't want that..atleast not with a stranger. ARREH!
