Depends how you define it. I remember Mummy kissing me goodnight when I was little. I also remember kissing a girl when I was really young, but this was before any emotions of attraction or lust had developed.
Following that, I've had a kiss imposed on me, if you're counting that.
Finally... yes, a "proper" kiss.
So where are we drawing the line? :P

It was nothing special, though I like the context, I can twist it to sound really romantic, or I can twist it to sound really sexual, or normal, funny, evil, etc. but my favourite way of twisting it is the teasing way because it suits me, she had been flirting with me for a while but it took me a while to get to become interested in her so anyway: we were in bed (long story) and our legs meet and stroked each other's, I touched her hand then kissed it and so on. We were drawing lines and massaging each other's skin, after 10 minutes she start moistening her lips ready for me to kiss her and I knew that but I kept her waiting 6 hours!! untill she finally pulled me into a kiss (literally). I have done that with other girls since, it is fun.

I was 20. It's a year and three months ago or something like that. No, 4 months. Yeah.
I was 9 or 10, and two slightly older neighbor girls liked to use me for kissing practice. It was my first french kiss, much less a regular kiss. Sherry and Nadia, thanks for the memories. ;)

as for me well.. yeah as others have said it depends totally on what kind of kiss you mean.. experimented when little as most do but I guess if we're talking real kiss, 14 while in secondary school.. I went to a girls' grammar with a boys grammar opposite across the road, was interesting
14 years old is the 9th year of school here, not sure if that's equivalent to US "grades", we have years instead - literally how many years you've been going to school, so last year of primary school is 6th year, first year of secondary school is 7th year, last year of secondary school is 11th year, etc

If you were born at the right time, then year, 9 years in school would place you at 14 and we call your 9th year in school 9th Grade ;)
Goes like this, assuming you aren't held back:
year 1 = First Grade
year 2 = Second Grade
year 3 = Third Grade
year 4 = Fourth Grade, and so on.
Let's get back on topic, now, shall we?

From when I was 4-ish until I was about 10-ish, there was a boy I had been friends with since I was born (he's six months older than me, and our brothers had been best friends), and everytime we saw eachother we'd have a fake wedding, with a peck on the lips at the end. I would have just kissed him, but he's really conservative Catholic, and thought the only proper way to do it was to have a wedding first. It was really funny.
My first kiss with a guy who I was actually dating was kind of rushed, I had my dad waiting in the car, where he could see us, and the guy could see his front door cracked just a little. Out of habit (from kissing my parents goodnight, I'm shorter than most of my family) I kinda stood up on my toes, and he didn't expect that, and ended up kissing under my nose and to the side a little.
As for french kissing, I haven't actually done that with a guy yet. It's not a lack of desire to, it's a lack of opportunity to I think. Meh, oh well.

Why is it wierd? Kissing is what happenes every day of the week 24/7--You see ppl kissing in the streets, at the movies, on tv, in the park, on vacation in Hawaii, in their own homes, out in a resturant--It is perfectly natural when two ppl are attracted to each other--And you think it's wierd?

When 20 year olds started having the first kiss. That seems...surreal. Then again, I know a few guys whom are over 25 and still virgins. It may or may not have been their choice by and large, but still. It's ... weird.

6th grade, and it wasn't a real kiss - just on the cheek, from my best friend the day before I moved to my present location. I didn't like it very much :/
Then again, I'm not really a big fan of physical intimacy at all, which is either due to my age (13) or my upbringing (my parents are both socially conservative Chinese).

He's leaving today....And yes it is him. He wanted to take me to Disney Land before he left and that's where it happened.
I dunno if this kiss has made me happier or sadder...:(
I'm sad cuz he's gone, but happy that we got to share a moment together....Well he's not exactly gone yet--I'll see him today later. I'm just all emotional right now....My mom had this love song by Michael Buble playing and I started crying cuz all I could think of was Chris and how he's moving to San Diego....

I wouldn't manipulate someone to get a kiss though. I'd want them to want it to. I'm homeschooled, but yeah, I do like a few people, but my opportunity, I mean that there's a time and a place for everything, and I generally can't find the time or the place. Or a willing victim.

The one I count was last year, at camp, on the dock sitting in the Yellow Chair at night with the moon out, it was a great setup; however, it was just a peck.
The one I don't count, for different reasons, would be a long time ago in Grade 6 or so.
Wow all these are really romantic sounding. On a dock under the moon? On the other hand maybe you only notice all taht during your first kiss.

Waiting for the right kiss is lame, if not creepy. After all, it is just a kiss, you're not banging the guy. My approach is to just keep at it and kiss whoever, whenever. It works pretty well, I definitely know what girls I don't like.
As for my first kiss:
In 7th grade I went bowling and this bitch stole my shoes and told me I had to kiss this other girl to get them back.
I did not leave bowling barefoot that day. We also continued that kissing this past summer, 6 years later.
I effing rock.

I'm just reading some of the posts and thinking, how can you say you have a romatic relationship with someone when there is no romantic (or sexual) involvement? I mean, saying you are going to be someone's girlfriend implies a commitment of exclusivity, but what exactly are you commiting to keep exclusive?

you dont have to have a sexual relationship with someone before you count it as a relationship. thats ridiculous.

You do have to have some kind of exclusive romantic activity to call it a romantic relationship though.

I don't get how you can have a relationship with someone and not do anything intimate after the first date or whatever. I can't see calling something it a relationship if all you do is hang out a lot, and do nothing more.

(my emphasis)
Well, duh : /
My belief (which perhaps is flawed/ignorant) is that you don't necessarily have to be physically intimate with someone for it to be considered a relationship; rather, I think that the defining key is a great deal of mutual trust and respect, a level equal if not greater to that of good/best friends. That, in my belief, sets the foundation for the "bond" that I hear people in my parents' generation talk about - I'm not sure, however, if that still exists today.

What I meant is a girlfriend/boyfriend relationship. And if there is no physical activity at all between the two, I don't think it could be considered that. I think it would be considered a "just friends" relationship, and I don't think girlfriend/boyfriend relationships can exist without physical stuff.

What I meant is a girlfriend/boyfriend relationship. And if there is no physical activity at all between the two, I don't think it could be considered that. I think it would be considered a "just friends" relationship, and I don't think girlfriend/boyfriend relationships can exist without physical stuff.
The only problem with that is that from what I'm seeing every day, the connotations of "just friends" has been stretched so far that saying that will more likely than not do little to explain the situation correctly.
While we're at it, how physical does a couple need to be to be considered under your criteria? I personally think that that level is dictated entirely by trust between the two, anyways.

being just friends is when you like somebody who doesnt like you and they ask if you can be "Just Friends" which means,
No kissing
No going out
Yes- Hugging
A relationship is when two people have an intimate bond between them, and kiss/hug/ etc etc, each other. I don't see how something that seems so simple to me :D can generate a humongous arguement :shiftyr:

Jenjen had it right though. 1 night stands do not mean relationships in a romantic settings. Sexual relationships do not mean anything at all.

I'm fairly certain that "just friends" don't kiss each other on the mouth with any more than a peck, tops. You don't run around kissing guys that you don't have something more than a "friends" feeling going. Cultural standards aside (Italians, Middle Easterners, etc.).

I used to do it because I couldn't drive and my parents wouldn't often let me go places alone. I guess they figured the movies were pretty safe if they dropped me off before and picked me up after. Plus our theater is only two bucks here.

Is that the theater that plays all the old movies? I have a 2$ theater here, and I plan to go see RV once it goes to the "hobo theater" as my friend calls it.
And making out in theaters is annoying. Trust me, I've been within feet of these makeout people in a theater. Sure, it may sound good when you're making out(not that i would know, I'm not a makeout type of person), but it sounds like someon chewing with their mouth open and slurping soup at the same time if you're right next to them. Worst of all, it totally ruined the mood during firewall. :(

my first kiss came in the most unexpected time and would the most disturbing time of my life.
Vallejo, California - many years ago
at my old church back when i was just 10 years old, i sat there quietly as my friends play with that four year old girl Yen Yen, but others call her princess. i simply call her Yen Yen.
She came to me and asked me to play with her. I agreed. Then she recklessly pulled me back and let me hit the floor, she was so strong for just a little 4 year old girl.
She mumbled something but i couldn't make out what she was uttering, but i finally knew that when she pulled my eyelids down she meant, "Close your eyes." So i was still there, laying down on my back. I expected her to play with me by her being the doctor. So i remained there with my eyes closed.
Then, she started to hum some tune... Eh? it sounded like... Oh no! Sleeping Beauty! She sat on the floor beside me.The moment I became aware, she just =Kissed me on the lips! Yargghh! Blashfrggplopppttthhhhaaathaaa(in slow motion)!
Ah,Great! My first kiss is ruined, by a little 4 year old girl!
aw well, i didn't mind "much" right after she kissed me, i just screamed aloud wailing and ran around the church, told the whole Organization that my first kiss was on Princess, cried to my mother and then my father... end.
ever since, i got scared of watching Sleeping Beauty and never watched it ever since then. Now i'm just fine. :D
We make out silently.
apparently you're some kinda pro at that because most ppl don't.

the theater by me is like 8 50 or something ridiculous unless it's a matinee. we use to have a cheap one when i was little but its gone now.
A new theater opened here a few months ago and it's more than 10$ if it's not a matinee. And the popcorn is like 5 bucks for a bag.

The nearest theatre to me charges $6.50 for a matinee, and $8 for a normal show, I think. There's one a little further that's only $4 for a matinee, $6 for a normal show. I would go to GD's theatre, but I'd spend whatever I might have saved on gas.
I don't like sitting next to people who make out in theatres, but I've never been the one doing it, so I don't judge. Heh. It is a private place, without worry of parents (usually), so I can understand why people spend the money.

You guys must have really clicked then because especially if it's a first date I think the movies is a bad place to go. for starters, you have no opportunity to talk to your date. I like going somewhere where we can actually hold some semblance of a conversation. Also there are often sexy guys like Clooney or Pitt on screen that compete with you. And there are more romantic and mood-insipring places to get your groove on. Just a few thoughts :)

No, we have a $1 theater that plays all the old movies. It's $2 before 6 and it's all the new releases. But you do get what you pay for; it's located in a mall full of crazy teenagers and the seats suck. Almost all of them are broken in some way and they are not very comfortable. But 2 bucks allows me to see nearly any movie that comes out.

First kiss eh? i don't have a real first kiss, it was more of a spur of the moment, 'grab anyone close by' (on her part). She was 16 and i was 15 then and my best friend (chik, we've known each other for life), and that day she was really happy, i think it was after her first date with her current boyf, for some reason, so she just grabbed my head and kissed me (no tongue or anything). then she said sorry and ran off (to find him i guess)
at the time, i had no idea wat was going on.

My first *real* kiss? hmmm.... well I think I was 14 and I was at a dance with my gf and we were slow dancing and we started kissing... it was kinda akward... so my first *likeable* kiss was with my 2nd gf.
I've haven't frenched yet.. and I'm single atm so I don't see it happening anytime soon (I'm at one of those places where I appreciate the company of girls but don't really feel the need to be with one... I'm kinda picky so it may be awhile.)

Going to movies on first dates....Some movies are okay, horror movies and such, I like going to, because you can be goofy and make fun of the stuff that tries to be scary. I don't like going to romantic comedies on dates, because it feels like a lot of pressure is being put on me to be like the cutesy people in the movie, and that's just not who I am. When I went on my first "date" with my first boyfriend, it was to go see Hitch. The movie was good, but I felt awkward when it was over. GrassDragon was actually there too, so was my date's little sister, and another guy. Haha...

Honestly, I'm not pro-promiscuity and I think saving sex for comitted, trusting relationships is positive, but saving it for a husband is a bit over the edge for me. However, despite that, I still understand-to an extent-why people do it.

I'm old fashioned when it comes to dating and kissing and whatnot--Trust me I get made fun of for my values at school--But it's not gonna phase me Believe it or not, people are ridiculed for just about everything in public schools. Your values, your hair, your choice of friends, your clothes, whatever they can fabricate or use to hurt you. That your values are ridiculed isn't anything special other than it makes you feel martyred for your religion--which is a massive turn on for fundamentalists.
I was actually surprised when this dude I barely know told me that he respects me because I respect myself enough to not give it away to just whoever and that I am waiting until marriage. 20 years old and you were "surprised" that someone shared your values...um, yeah.

Because that which is difficult is by merit noble; like for instance picketing soldiers' funerals and hollering that God hates them.
