Hi.
You must have a viable internet connection and you just have to click multipalyer and have b.net checked.
The rest should be done for you, it may dl a new patch.
Good luck here.

Welcome to Warboards, header.
Go on StarCraft, press Multiplayer, click on battle.net and press ok. Creat a profile and start playing. Thats it.
If your having a problom connecting to battle.net then you have to be more specifice. Are you using a router, are you using AOL, do you have a firewall, etc...

Welcome aboard header, sadly I can't help you; however, it seems many have already done so.
Welcome header. Exactly what problem do you have connecting to Bnet? Insert disk install, click multiplayer, select your portal and thats it.

Hi.
To connect to the B.net you need to purchase the original game, no more copy games from friends, it won't allow u connect to b.net.

Not really, this is what I experienced before.
I got an original warcraft 3 from China, and one from Australia.
Both able to log on B.net and both are original.
I try to install the game using the CD bought in Australia but put in the cd-key I got from the one bought from China, I get error msg saying the cd-key is not valid.
But it works fine if I use the same cd-key with the actually CD that go with.

It's strange, but that is how it was intended. I for one have always fancied buying two CD's for every game, and use one key on the other CD and vice versa... but noooooo...
Bye!
