A WB's SC Clan?

I didn't know if anyone thought this would be a cool idea but since there are alot of clans out there for SC I thought it'd be cool if all of us SC players here at Warboards banded together and formed our own clan. A Warboards clan of sorts. I figured that even thought alot of us are noobs maybey if some of the good players joined too that maybey the people who arn't all that great and want to get better could learn a little bit and stuff. And maybey, eventually, we'll be one of the most feared clans in the SC universe! Anyway, what do ya'll think of it? Good Idea? Bad Idea? "Meh, it's alright but I'm not joining because I'm too high and mighty to lower myself down to the level of playing with noobs who are trying to get better"? Thoughts would be apreciated.

:D Awsome idea. Though, I think it would be ok if the clan was just full of noobs... if they get better in time. Great way to improve our skills, but that's exactly what we said would happen in Warboards Night. :\ No one really gained anything from that.

But a clan would be a good idea. We could have [WB] or something in our names.

I'm already in a clan (CDH) but what if people that were already in a clan could join this clan also? Like my usertag for instance would be halomed12[cdh][wb]. Then it would be a clan organization

OK I'm a member of a Unreal tournement 2004 clan and I pay a $7.00 fee each month to help keep the servers that we have going and with the tag comes an e-mail address and also there are rules, you have to wear your tag in all starcraft related web sites and also battle.net and ladders and so forth. Play with respect with other players, don't give the clan a bad name by cheating or don't bad talk the other members. Also there is the scrimaging and ladder computition. We have to get good enough to do ladders and then scrimage other clans for braging rights and stuff like that. I know that we can't have our own servers for the game but we need to talk to the people that run the WB fourms to see if it is alright to make a clan named after the WB's. Legeal mombojombo stuff, then if your all interested we could get a TeamSpeak server or a Vent server so we can talk to each other to get to know every one better. So I'm in as long as it's cheap or free.

I'm not wearing a clan tag around all the time, in fact, when I join a clan, I make it perfectly clear to members of said clan that I will be on my original name 50% of the time.

Okay, So what I've gathered so far is that a WB's clan looks like a good idea. So I'll see about giving it a try.

Also, I know the WBs night was supposed to help people get better (I'm refering to the person who made a comment about that issue earlier. I think it was Suicide) but that was just one night. This'll be an ongoing thing. So mabey people will get better in the long run.

As for what a clan does: It does pretty much what everyone said. But don't they like go up against other clans to? (I think thats how I heard the term "Clan Wars")

Channel = op.Org Network on US East (East because thats where most of us play I believe.

We just had something like that a little while ago (I beleive it was about a month ago now). Also another WBs night would be two things:

a) Great advertiesing for our clan.
b) A great little clan thing that we do.

We could do a WB's night like once a month or mabey once every two months or somthing as a little get together that we do in clan.
