I bought that...forgot to pay that extra dollar for insurance, let's hope it comes in fine....jeeze it's stressful working that whole 'buying' phase.
Now if I can sell my turbo and NAWZ I'll be ok..
/stress....
Anyone here buy anything from ebay? How'd you find it?

Well, I have had good and bad times with Ebay.
Good Time:
I bought a limited edition TooL CD/DVD set. Saved about $150.
Bad Time:
I bought a Long board, thinking I was saving ~$250. When I got the board, it was an aluminum skate board, that was about 5.5 ft. long. It was funny in the beginning, but I ended up losing $185...

Yeah, I've bought a few things off eBay. Haven't had a problem with it :)
I bought some Rubik's Cubes off there. It's about the only place where you can find unopened ones from the 80's... and they are getting pretty rare now.

E-bay is great...I like to accumulate lots of rare and special items off eBay...
Look for anything that you can't find and you will find it on eBay in one form or another...Lots of rare unfindable items just waiting for you...

I bought some Giorgio beverly hills cologne off there for my dad. I saved at least 100 dollars.

I've used Ebay a few times, when I could find something much cheaper there than on Amazon. I can't remember what I first got, but my most recent purchase was Season 3 of Seinfeld.

I've bought some vinyl toys on eBay before, stuff you can't buy in stores. I've never been screwed over.
Nice buy.

I buy stuff frequently online, eBay included. The only thing I refuse to buy from eBay is electronic items.
I've never been cheated or anything like that.

I got a Vulcan Raven and Psycho Mantis (Metal Gear Solid) from ebay. They were good stuff, but didn't go with the wife's decor. Vulcan Raven was pretty pimp and he stayed around the bachleor pad for quite a while. There are few "toys" you can put on display and still get the BJs from the chicks; Vulcan Raven was one of them.
Anyway, I also bought a PS1 with about 10 games back in the day for about $100-150. Don't really remember. I'm in the process of buying a Joe Rocket Ballistic 6.0 pair of pants and jacket for the bike, too.

I've bought a whole grip of stuff on E-Bay. Ranging from Video Games, Books, Movies, & Computer Stuff :)

So, duncy, has your item come yet? Are all those fears of yours been put to rest yet?
If something screws up, then you shouldn't let it put you off too much. Most of the sellers and buyers are genuine and you'll only get a few times where someone will try to shark you...

OK, I first got into Ebay back in 1996 when it got its start. Back then PayPal was a budding company and there were generally no guarantees. However, I just now got a jacket for my bike and discovered that I have to enter a credit card number to change my email address (ridiculous, anyone?)! I also have to enter a bank routing number, a credit card number, and other information in order to make payments through PayPal!
I'm getting a little pissed off at all of these idiot-proofing layers of beauacracy. Can I just have an address to send my motherfucking money? Jesus.

I bought a set of Soviet army uniforms for my band concert - the theme was "Blast from the Past", and I thought to putting a slightly different view to that.
The transaction was fine and the product quality very good, but it did take around 2 weeks to ship here. Bleh.

PayPal got bought out by ebay or some such, ever since they've been really fucking wierd.
Personally I am a little wary of paypal because of certain websites ie: paypalsucks.com or whatever.
Some of the people who discuss whats happened to them and stuff... personally I don't want Paypal to have any access to my back account to just take money out whether they feel like it =/
Apparently paypal used to be a really great company... but they just got so huge/are ebay now, that little people don't matter anymore.

Does anyone actually use Paypal?
I haven't bought anything off eBay because most things I buy are computer software, I heard there were some pretty good deals on there though

My second purchase on eBay was a hooker. She came far too late and was really bruised from the shipping.
It was a terrible experience and I won't repeat it again.

One time I bought something off eBay (don't recall what, maybe another hooker) that I thought got lost in the mail, but rather showed up a month later. Don't underestimate the USPS', FedEx's and UPS' ability to take forever to deliver even the smallest packages.

I cant really say what it's like for eBay.com, because I use eBay.co.uk. I wouldn't imagine that there would be a great difference between them but it sounds like the american version is much more dodgey than the uk version...
dunchy, depending on what class the package has been sent as will usually determine how long it will take to reach you. As long as it isn't travelling overseas from a foregin land or something, you usually get it (depending on class) in 2 - 5 working days. You get it sooner by special delivery or later if it's second class. The best way to go is to get a recorded delivery where you have to confirm the delivery of the item. It's much more secure that way.
But like I said before, I'm in England using eBay.co.uk, so things could vary...

I've bought some vinyl toys on eBay
Am I the only one that sees that in the kinky light? o.O
I haven't used ebay, but I've heard it's usually really good.
