View Full Version : Sirius Radio FTW!
Anyone else have Sirius radio?
Which stations do you like (excluding Playboy, ya perverts!)
I'm going home in a hour or so to install it. I drive about 1 hour each way to work, so I'm in the truck a great deal of time. I didn't want that cumbersome little box and wires all over the place, so I had't gotten it yet. But now they have a nice little visor unit that is perfect for me. This way I don't have to install a new stereo either.

Considering that sex is 90% mental, it makes a lot of sense. (Yes, I grabbed that number out of the air, but you get my drift.)
Think "Dear Penthouse" but read by sexy women. :)

The only thing that's preventing me from getting one is the monthly fees. How much are Sirius' fees? I've heard Delphi has better monthy fees.

$12.99/month is you pay by the month.
And Delphi makes the radios for XM or Sirius, I can't recall which one. They don't provide the service itself.

How is it any different than paying for CD's and cable television? It's a form of entertainment.
While you listen to 40 minutes of music mixed with 20 minutes of commercials, I get non-stop music, dialed to my specific mood. Or I can listen to talk radio, Comedy or any number of specialty stations.
It's not as if I'm paying monthly for terrestrial radio.

My dad has talked about getting it for his car, but it's never gotten put in. As I don't have a car, I won't be getting it. I've heard that it's very nice, with the lack of commercials and all.
