I never played diplomacy though I really would love to. It seems very interesting. Can someone tell me a site that teaches diplomacy well. I am sure if more people knew how to play then more people would play.

I put a link in the sticky, the site is one that's touted all over the place, so you know it's a good tutorial that teaches all the basics. :)
Glad to have a new prospective player! If you want to get in a game, you're welcome to take my spot in the Modern Diplo game that just started.

Oh haha I looked at the sticky before you told me but because the link blended in so well I couldn't see it. I read the tutorial. It helps a lot but I think I need to watch a real game first before I can play one. Thanks for the reply.
Also can someone tell me a good game to watch? That would help me learn some strategies and I don't really want to go into the game just with a tutorial, I want some experience first.

The only game that really has gotten anywhere is the first Diplo game, so you could look over that for strategies and stuff, which should be good considering it's the same map. :)
My game is pretty far along too, but some of the outcomes have been a result of taking advantage of people not turning their orders in. Not like that's not a good thing to know to do, though. ;)

Hey, glad to have you aboard. Just letting you know, it gets easier really fast once you learn some rules and start playing. It seems insanely complicated, but the only complicated thing is deciding what your strategy should be, not carrying it out. :)
I'd be happy to answer any questions you have on AIM or by PM.

Thank you oboeguru and thegreatbrain. My first game is coming up. It is in whiteknight's diplomacy.
