Unfortunately nothing compares to a genuine sequeal from Blizzard Entertainment.

Speaking of which, Blizzard do quite a good job of stomping on these sort of conversions :(

Well... the WarCraft III Total Conversion was stomped supposedly because it edited the EXE, and that was a breach of the licencing agreement. That's what I remember, but I was like 13 or so at the time. It doesn't make sense to me, because Camelot Systems did have a special agreement that meant they were allowed to disassemble, reverse engineer and reprogram StarCraft's EXE file within reason. And I believe the WarCraft III TC was made purely using the Camsys tools.

Perhaps it was a copy of the WarCraft series to such an extent that Blizzard considered it a breach of their intellectual property? If so, then this C&C generals thing is quite likely to be stomped (cool word Schwitzer) too. But, I know this C&C generals total conversion has been out for a while, so I suppose they already know about it and think it's all right.

If you're referring to the Project Revolution (http://www.wc3campaigns.net/revolution/) modification it was meant to turn every SC-BW unit into 3D using the WC3-TFT game engine as a basis and it wasn't shut down (so far). The C&C: Red Alert 2 mod' that impersonated a SC2 conversion was.
