I'm just curious really, what is everyone's favorite prime time cartoon?

Personally, I'm a Simpsons man. It has the best cast of characters, the funniest humor without being compeletely obscene or juvenile, and actually some rather witty social commentary.

The Simpsons. While other shows have there times, the Simpsons are classic, and never need to go, uh, "dirty" like say south park. (But SP is still funny) Family guy is ... , (if you watch it take a fork and put it in your ear) and I don't know what adult swim is. Sounds.. odd.

Yeah. Simpsons. Definatley.

new family guy doesnt compete with the old family guy.

so i put adult swim, because that is consistantly good (even though not prime time)

Never seen a Simpson episode so I can't comment there. I've watched the first three seasons of Family Guy, nothing newer, but I really like that show. I also like South Park and Boondocks.

Futurama sucks btw.

Family Guy is great however the newer episodes aren't near as good as the old ones.
A close second would be The Simpsons. Thats pretty funny too.
Third would be KOTH Thats also pretty good. (And the only one my parents approve.Lol)
Most other shows though suck something terrible.

Futurama sucks. I never find any of their jokes funny. I'd rather watch Foster's Home of Imaginary Friends.

I don't have cable, so I'll have to say The Simpsons. I like South Park when I watch it usually, but The Simpsons is classic.

Hey, I like Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

From the choices, I'll go with Family Guy, although I have really enjoyed the Boondocks on Adult Swim. Although the Simpsons is long running and still somewhat entertaining, after a while it feels like you're watching the same episodes with slightly altered plots. But such things happen in a 13+ season series.

Oh cmon, you can't claim a 5season long series and won emmys sucks ;/

That show owns (Which is why adult swim down).

Personally I like Family Guy, Futurama and South Park, simpsons is alright, but I never actually try to catch it like I do with new south parks or family guys.

Simpsons is just sooo old and they really have done everything >_>

Futurama isnt great but its ok. For me its simpsons, family guy, then futurama.

Simpsons has always hit the comedic spot for for me for the past 17 years

If I could vote multiple times, I'd say Simpsons and Family guy. Unfortunatly, of both shows, all the newer episodes have gotten progressively dumber. I chose Family Guy because I havent been able to catch the newer Simpsons lately.

By the way, I'm annoyed by the consistant sexual humor in both South Park and Family guy. A little inuendo is fine, and usually proves funny, but they can go too far and it becomes annoying. Several times in the past few weeks I've changed the channel after being disgusted or bored during the showings of either cartoon.

For some reason, I can never find Futurama on TV. Maybe it's because I dont have cable... I feel so out of the loop :'( (sorry hammock :P)

I really, really liked the old South Park. Although the new ones are just kinda . . . bleh. It is a sad trend that as a show grows more and more populer, the writirs just stop trying. Not to mention South Park now goes up its own ass with messages.

I don't really like any of those, I don't watch TV a lot. The Simpsons, Futurearmour and South Park are just not by sense of humour. And yes, sense of humour, I have. I haven't watched the other ones on the list.

Home Movies. That show never ceases to get laughs. The writing is so good.

Superman and Batman go without saying. That and Justice League.

I like Futurama too, but I've pretty much seen all of them and they're pretty hit-or-miss.

What's up with GrassDragon going out of his way to diss people's show? :S

Ouch. Lets try not to talk like my three y/o brother.

But I'll have to go with you. Futurrama isn't all that hot of a show to me.(Of course, I'd rather watch that than "The Waltons")

I personally dislike American Dad. Not because it doesn't have its good points, but because of the loud sucking sound coming from Adult Swim on Seth McFarlane's butt. I mean, please outline the differences between American Dad and Family Guy.

Adjective Male Descriptor
Ambiguously Gay Character With Random Accent
Son With No Personality
Daughter With Constant Sex Issues
Wife With Totally Misplaced Character Conflict Flipping Between Smart and Strong Leader and Stupid and Weak Pushover

Dad That Almost Completely Runs His Family's Life, Not Through Leadership But Rather Through A Deus Ex Comedic Yuk - Yuk Style
Psychoanalyst Pet

As with what GA was saying, American Dad is Family Guy, except with a more political overtone. It sucks.

I enjoy futurama because as far as the big three (Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy, South Park) go it's the one that kept the intelligent satire going. Simpsons used to be able to satire anything and then they just fell into a tiger pit and have been struggling to even be funny, much less satire something.

South Park is awesome, lately, but it can be a bit too on the crude side for me.

Family Guy is great, but South Park really nailed the way they do their comedy and that style can be really hit-or-miss (miss, to me, in the most recent seasons.)

Which leaves me loving Futurama, at least recently.

South Park has gotten really political--it seriously gets old after a while.

Sort of like "extremely white guys dancing to rap music and eventually gaining credibility".

It's gone from New and Funny to Old and Trite to Borderline Offensive and Beyond Annoying.

^ Exactly, the show dwelt on whatever Trey and Matt have in their heads at the time to 'politicalness of the day' in almost every episode. Futurama always had a continuality with each season which I enjoyed, all the seasons at least flowed (for me).

I've never gotten into American Dad at all, as GA pointed out, it's family guy, done bad.

I contend that Futurama and Invader Zim were two shows that should have never have been canceled, and that they were done so is proof positive that there is no God.

Batman the Animated Series ROCKS! i mean, c'mon? who doesn't like mobsters with tommy guns? TOMMY GUNS! and the cops get shotguns too. how cool is that?

i quite like all of the cartoons on the poll, although South Park gets repetative (there are so many times u can find Cartman funny).

I'll go with Adult Swim. But since i'm in australia, its different from all the USA shows. So pretty much i'm stuck with anime and hilarious 15min cartoons (Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law)
