get into your modifiers. like mesh smooth. also look into maping its better than making tons of different colored shapes. what program did you use?

Here is my work on anim8or--

the idea behind good models is a good amount of polygons (first make it with as much as you need, then start removing useless polygons until every polygon is with an use) and good textures. WoW models are quite low in polycount while they certainly do not look like so, for example. good polygon use and brilliant textures make them nice to look at.

Pretty good, pretty good. I remember doing my first models in anim8tor. It's a so-so program.

If you want a higher quality, also free, one, then go to www.blender3d.org

Blender is a great 3D program which some say is as powerful or as good as professional ones.

Anyways, back on topic. The model is ok, but somwhat box-ish. The legs and feet need more detail, along with the chain gun arm. The other arms is ok, but a little plain. Also, the head just doesn't feel right. But other than that, I like it. Keep working on it, I wanna see the full model :)

Not bad. I like it. But it's supremely simple. Try making them more complex.

I'm not trying to make you look like a idiot or anything but.. i think the only real hard part of creating a 3d model is when you get started.. all you have to do is memorize the hotkeys and the other features.. The rest comes easy... but the true amazing results are made by ones creativity..(i'm not very creative)

If you don't have anything nice to post about this topic or other users, don't post at all. :<

Thanks for all the response =)
My latest project is a gunship-ish thing, which I'll post as soon as it's finished.

Aqo - you may, but at least put "inspiration by dezzick" in readable font or something =P
