This game is pretty much decided already
I officially propose an alliance of all non-Germany players to attack Germany :)
:p

Silence wench.
Be thankful I'm not attacking you head-on. :p ;)

I lose because of my computer breaking down thus missing one or two orders. I spent so much time analyzing my moves and making sure I was going to come out ahead, some fluke with my old comp was bound to be caused by bad voodoo.
That is the explanation for my failure. Orders below. :)
F Mon-Lig
F Gulf of Lyon-We Me
F Bay of Biscay-Nav
A Bar-Madrid
F Bor Hold
A Libya S F Tunisia
F Tunisia S A Libya
A Auv-Bar
I'll make the map tomorrow.

You have all orders, right?
Want to make sure I didn't send them to the wrong GM....again

Disband A Bul and A Ros
Crap. Lit is GERMAN and the fleet there is also GERMAN.

*Sigh... I think that's the last hurrah for the Poles.
Well, considering I have nowhere to build, I guess I have no adjustments.
Cygnus
07-21-2004, 8:01 PM
That would mean Germany get's four builds (five if he disbands a unit).
OboeGuru
07-21-2004, 11:32 PM
Holy crap!
I applaud you, TGB, the one time I don't support Sweden Hold with two units is the time you attack with three.
That deserves some commendation.
/me throws party for TGB.
- - - - -
Retreat to Norway.
It's 33 SCs to win. (64 SCs total, that's 51% rounded up for those wondering about that figure.)
Maegtelluma
07-21-2004, 11:49 PM
How many SC's do you have? I counted but I don't trust....twentysomething?
OboeGuru
07-21-2004, 11:56 PM
27, is the number you're looking for, I believe.
I could be wrong though. That happens form time to time. ;)
Maegtelluma

So, basically, not long at all :(
I seem to be on the downslope anyway...

Retreat to Norway.
It's 33 SCs to win. (64 SCs total, that's 51% rounded up for those wondering about that figure.)
Would you like yer builds as a side dish to that retreat?
Eyeing the fact that there's only one retreat, I guess we can just munch the entire shobaloo together. Don't you agree?
Subjukator

At least I'll last until the end! SPAIN SHALL PERSERVERE!
That's about the only plus that Spain's got, good defensive position.
Maegtelluma
07-22-2004, 5:31 PM
Heh...that's the one good thing about this. Maybe I'll be able to hold off the Turkish menace until the end.
OboeGuru
07-25-2004, 7:18 PM
Build A Ber, A Fra, A Mun, F Ham.
Has everyone else gotten adjustments in?
Maegtelluma
07-25-2004, 8:00 PM
Do I have them in already? I'll pm them if not.
Whiteknight
07-25-2004, 9:39 PM

OboeGuru

Who's delinquent? Or is BB off somewhere having fun without us?
Perhaps we need a surrogate mapmaker.
*bursts into song* Mapmaker, mapmaker, make me a map...

Cygnus

BB's on vacation... if you need someone for mappage I could. :)
Which means I need retreats and builds if you PMed them to BB. Also Germany you know you have four builds and a retreat right?
(Because Lit is German, BB never corrected his mistake)
Subjukator
07-27-2004, 10:46 AM
Is it really even neccessary to continue the game besides determining who's going to survive until Germany wins the number of SC's it needs to do that?
OboeGuru
07-27-2004, 1:08 PM

Yup, I know, that's why I posted four builds and a retreat. :p
TheBB

I'll get around to making the map today or tomorrow. Just came home from vacation, so excuse me while I don't leap at the chance to make a diplomacy map as first thing to do. Especially one where we need some kind of divine intervention if things are going to get even remotely interesting.
OboeGuru
08-02-2004, 2:00 AM
Divine Intervention to say "Screw it, Germany will own you all!"? ;)
Hey, if you want to call the game, that's fine with me. This isn't going to be handled for points until I reconfigure the point system a little, anyway.
We'll finish the game in a proper fashion unless everyone votes unanimously (sp?) to end it now, with whatever result. But yeah, divine intervention to say just that. =)
Maegtelluma
08-02-2004, 6:49 PM
Heh, end it so that WK can't finish me off :)I'm game either way, I think I can hold out until the end.
OboeGuru
08-02-2004, 10:56 PM
How about a map while we're waiting for all the posts to flood in asking for an ending? ;)
I'd like to see what I could do and discuss in terms of smashy smashy in case we go on.
OboeGuru
08-06-2004, 1:03 PM
DOUBLEPOSTAGE!!!
I don't know about you guys, but I either want this to a] end, or b] get a map up.
So if you want this game to continue, everyone who PMed their last whatevers PM them to me and I'll make a map.
LordAhriman
08-06-2004, 6:57 PM
I vote to end it. Not too much more to see here, especially for me.
Maegtelluma
08-07-2004, 10:15 AM
With three games in the queue, I don't see why we're keeping this open. Just declare it over as a Germany win, I think we decided that it would be an exhibition anyway. :) Maybe discredit those who were eliminated, but don't score the whole thing.
OboeGuru
08-08-2004, 2:20 PM
I leave the decision to TheBB as to whether or not to end the game.
Cygnus

Maegtelluma

Yeah, I want my game to come around eventually :)
Abberation is next isn't it?
Cygnus
08-08-2004, 4:29 PM
Yeah abberation is next I believe.
Maegtelluma
08-08-2004, 4:48 PM
Yeah, I just checked and Aberration is the next game up. I like the looks of the map (I saw it preloaded in RealPolitik). And the country setup is nice, quite a few neutral Supply Centres. Nice nine players. Should be fun :)
OboeGuru
08-08-2004, 7:13 PM
My Aberration map > any other Aberration map. :)
Maegtelluma
08-08-2004, 8:27 PM
Could you pm me the link to it? :)

Hey Whiteknight, if you're still up for it, we just barely can call an allied win...
43 is the requirement for a team win, if I'm not mistaken (67% control), that's what we have between us: my 27 and your 16.
Just a thought. ;)

I agree to do an allied win.
That makes all other countries' opinions null and void. Good game everyone!

Maegtelluma

Might as well, I wasn't in a winning situation in this game :(
Cygnus
08-09-2004, 4:20 PM
I thought no one would get points for this game? Well no matter, I still expanded from 4 to 13+ centers. So I should get some. :p
Maegtelluma
08-09-2004, 5:02 PM
Well, yeah, we decided it wasn't for points after all of the replacements, but whatever, I just wanted to be a "Survivor" in his solo win.
Cygnus
08-09-2004, 5:18 PM
I thought the new system allowed for the replacements to get points as well? Factoring in how many SCs they had in control and how many they started out with.

I still haven't decided what I'm going to do about points.
This will be worth points, after I redo the system for multiple controls. The system as it is now isn't built for it. Stay tuned! ;)
Cygnus
08-09-2004, 5:55 PM
Alright, but having a system that took everything into account would be awsome. :p
OboeGuru
08-09-2004, 6:00 PM
It will be a work of mathematical art. :p
Cygnus
08-09-2004, 6:08 PM
Yeah. The one thing that I'm having trouble getting around is this: how will the percentage of points the origional player had to risk at the beginning? And how much would the replacement player put in? Would the origional player get a "refund" of 50% of the points, while then the replacement player put 50% to take over? Then would every replacement onward continue to follow the precent (like three guys put in 33.33% of the origional points thar were risked, four 25%... so on and so forth). Plus then you could factor then how many SCs they had at the beginning of when they started and when they ended.
