Wow, I wish it didn't take 30 seconds for anything on the website to start loading. It looks like it might be an OK movie.

It's not Uwe Boll or John W. Anderson directing. Konami's taken over the production of the film, and the original composer of the music is the same composer of the Silent hill video game music, plenty of boons to start with. I don't trust trailers, but so far all have looked decently done. That all said, I only predict a 40-60% on rottentomatoes, but it's still going to be the best VGM done, with decent DVD sales when all is said and done.

This is the first 'movie' game that I have true hope for, plus I'm a fan of Silent Hill. Let's hope for the best.

Pyramid head. The biggest cult character in a video game other then perhaps Birdo, when he was a transvestite in Mario Brothers 2. He's the creepiest character in all video games.

Birdo: Straight from the manual comes this description: "he thinks he is a girl and he spits eggs from his mouth." Yes, Birdo is Nintendo's very first full-fledged transvestite, complete with pink bow and all. Later reissues of the game's supplement guides neglect this piece of character background for obvious reasons, but I've got it right here in print. Nintendo marketed a transvestite villain long before that sort of thing was acceptable. Because of this, Birdo's become something of a cult character, even being immortalized in a cameo spot for Super Smash Bros. Melee in recent times. In any event, he's a pretty easy boss to defeat. You can hop aboard Birdo's eggs, and after hitting him with three of them, he'll die off. The whole transvestite thing really comes to fruition when you do this, since Birdo lets out the girliest scream ever when he falls.

Also, now that I've edumicated myself on him, I wonder, will there be rapage of the main character in the movie? That would be freaky >.>

What I've seen of this is by far the most promising of the video game movies I've seen. I saw a leaked clip involving pyramid head and a very unlucky girl, and it was as totally freaky as I could have possibly hoped. I'm really looking forward to this one.
