do i need to buy a new sc

my uncle sent me the version of sc broodwar it worked when i instaled it but when i try to go on battle.net it keep s saying that my cd key deos not match the one specified for this product .. deos that mean ill need to buy a new one ???

Didn't your uncle gave you the StarCraft key with the CD? It's on back of the Original StarCraft CD case... O well... auhh... yes you do. It cost about $10 on Amazon. If you already have Brood War you dont need to buy BattleChest ($19.99).

O, that message means your using a CD key from another game, like WarCraft maybe? Yah, you need a StarCraft key.

it is a starcraft cd key my uncle works with computers and gets hundreds of free games to test out the computers ... so i really dont know :s i think if i buy a new game itl be warcraft 3 i have heard lots good stuff :)
