I don't know if this has already been brought up but; If the widely accepted theory that protoss die with flames is because of their equipment... why does an animal like a bengalaas die the same way? You can't say its just on Aiur... cause protoss units die the same way all the time

it probably has something to do with psychic energies, the protoss may have experimented with bengalaas and kakarus and gave them psychic bonuses, therefore they die the same way as the protoss do.

When I see toss units die, my guess is that there soul is sent to the khala or whatever their heaven is, in an eruption of psychic energie. Maybe the souls of bengalaas and kakarus are connected to the kala as well?

I was thinking of the gases they take in...

(I love this forum... We always forget that it's a game we're talking about)

Perhaps it's because the Bengalaas is a freak hybrid of dog and protoss. A pet, maybe? The only animal strong enough to survive the psionic field of the pylons.

And I gotta love your presuming atittude... :P Cut'em some slack will ya, afterall their younger (than us) and all that jive.

Anyway, let's get back to the topic. If on Earth all living organisms are carbon based (read, exception to those great depth silicon based ones) we could well assume that the same gene basic trait is behind the similarity between 'Tossies and Bengalaas. ;)

"I thank thee for thy consideration..."

I predict its because of gases and/or the bengalaas being the origin of the original protoss race (based on the legs) Just got tired of the redundant gameplay topics being discussed

It's their latent psionic potential. Also, it looks friggin cool. :D

Well, protoss die in "flames" because they're aliens. Bengalaas probably die in the same way because the protoss took the bengalaas with them. Who knows. Ask Blizzard.

:concern: No life on Earth is known to be silicon based, but Im not saying its not possable.

Is this thread considered "dead" ? Because the last post was just over a week ago?

dude, there is no connection there. They may be homogenous, but so are we:
Fish, reptiles, mammals, birds, dinosaurs, and Bengaladaas as far as we can tell, are all homogenous, including us humans (if you don't know what a word means, look it up, then go read a book).

It very well could have been what someone else said that the toss may have genetically altered them.

But I still think it to still be a game (a very good one at that) and that blizzard didn't feel like making another animation for something so arbitrary (again, look it up, and read another book).

Guess that you were right (http://www.daviddarling.info/encyclopedia/S/siliconlife.html). In depths there are only bacteries that use other elements to assist their functions but those aren't that complex sorta speak. ;)

I wouldent make to big of a deal about this, i think the people at blizzard were just too lazy to make a proper death animation, much like they did with most of the critters.

The reason the 'toss go up in flames is because there is a psychic pulse in thier body that releases psionic energy upon their death.
Just because it's a game, doesn't mean it's not a valid form of entertainment/storytelling.

The real reson that the bengallass dies that way is this: It's just fricken cool.

Anyway, let's leave this thread to die in peace shall we?
