i love my current sig.. but it looks a million times better on a black background.

duddit's is pretty cool, needs more color coordination or contrast. 'find edges' isnt an end all filter ;p

Yea, it pretty simple, but i think something that cool about it is that the person in the picture is me. ;) I wanted a sig that wouldn't stand out, but one that would seem to fade away into the background here.

I made this from PS 8.0 one day, I had several pictures so I decided to whip something up. Took me a bit of time to make this work the way I wanted to, but it's still a bit messy in some ways.
So, what would you guys rate it? Honest feedback is appreciated.

the character is Akuma, sort of.
It's Akuma from street fighter, with that insane dark power that Iori Yagami, and others have from King of Fighters. It's like what makes them look totally deranged and zombified. So Akuma + Orochi Power = Shin Akuma, he appeared as a final boss in the game Capcom vs. SNK 2 = )

Well, since I have recently fallen in love with Half Life 2 and Valve, I figured I should make something to compliment it.

My sig is kinda a rip-off of Sloganizer.net but IDRC :P

@The_Maker: I've never played Half Life (no killing me, please) so I can't critic a Half Life themed sig as well as someone who's played the game, but I'll try.

I am a huge fan of minimalist siggie, but I'm also a huge fan of asymetrical layouts. Do to the way Warboards is layed out, centering something in you post bit makes it not center. Perhaps you could move it to the right. Also, you text would look WAY better if you shrunk it to a tiny font. Tiny font > large font. What's the date for too? Maybe that's just something I don't know about it, but you should take that out (or move it) and use the space for your name. You gotta take credit for your work.

Over all, very good themed siggie. I had a few complaints, but they were small one :) 7.5/10

Okay, I changed it around a little, made the text and date smaller and added my initials in the top right corner. I didn't want it to be too obvious but you can still see it.

And the date is the set release date for Episode 1, the expansion pack to Half Life 2 :)

I made this sig today, /me points to own signature spot.
The render is of Ultimate Rugal, a video game character.
I used some blending layers like stroke and outer glow for the render, it doesn't blend in at all o_o'''
The character on the right hand side means Sky or Heaven, I think those who've seen my custom character will know this.
I set the opacity of that to almost zero and beveled it so it sticks out of the background with matching colours.
I added a lens flare in the center of the image 'cause....It looked a bit blank, and I didn't want to insert another render.
The text, I used Anger font with white colour, beveled it and some other stuff o_o
I took the advice into consideration and tried to incorperate it in this piece.

Well, how does it look?

@The_Maker:I have no complaints on that one, very very good. The only thing that you could do is allign it to the left, but that's be all. I don't think you can do anything to that sig following with your theme. 9/10

@Holo: Ow, my eyes! Lol, I like the signature, but that lens flares threatens to burn the retina's out of my eyes. I know you said that it's because it looks a little blank, and yes, when I imagine it with out the lens flare, it looks little blank. I'm not sure what you'd be able to do with it to fill the space up though (maybe a close of the charactors face, but at a light opacity). Then again, I like the blending job you did with the charactor, it looks very smooth while highlighting it on the background. All in all, I have mixed feeling for this. I like it, but I also like my eyesight.

I haven't seen the old one, but this one looks pretty good. The only problem I have with it is the font. The font looks as though you were trying to extract it from a picture and did a bad job at it :\. Sorry if it's harsh, but it just doesn't match the feeling the rest of the sig has.

I like my current sig. It's special because it's actually a dynamic sig in a way. You probably haven't noticed, but it changes everytime you refresh the page - not the whole thing like a sig rotator does, but part of it changes. Pretty neat yeah?

It was really cool a year ago when I figured out how to use PHP to make dynamic images, but I'm thinking of changing it sometime........

okay, taking U-238's advice, I decided to make a Greenbay Pac(k)ers sig. Here it is I guess. the final picture is what all my various attempts finally boil down to. Like the football I made?

This is what I had originally planned on doing, just remaking "Pac Attack" into a Pac(k)ers sig. But then decided to ask you guys which pac you like best, then I may just start from the ground up making a whole team of Pac(k)ers. Or do you think this would be better?

There are eight selections. Choose which one you like best please. The top left one and the one with the number 34 are my original pac creation Packerized. The 34 is the player number so to speak. The bottom left one and number 2 are my new model pac with Packer helmet stripes. Again, 2 is the player number. The middleish one and number 54 is my new model without helmet stripes. 54 is the player number. The bottom right one and number 4 are my original pac design with helmet stripes. 4 is the player number.
Say you like the new version of pac with stripes, do you like it with player numbers or not? So pick which model you like, then choose if you like the numbers or not. Also, I know the numbers were badly placed, I am working on that. Keep in mind, these are just prototypes, I will most likely make more changes to them. I personally like the new version with stripes the best, except that the mouth looks weird and uneven. Please give your opinions. C&C NEEDED!!!!

Well Holocuast made my current sig although I'm working on a new one to replace it when my mods done.

Sig images should not be over 25kb (I believe? or 35kb -- I don't usually flag anything unless its over 45kb) at least according to the rules.

even a signature of that size can look exactally like it does and be 50kb, does no one use the save for web feature... often using the save for veb feature, you can get away with 70% and still have teh image looking like it should.

Well as you can all now see I don't have an image siggy anymore because I can't acess the server that my image was on and you can'y upload images in your sig. They have to be hosted. So I guess I'll have to stick with word slogans for now. (Allthough I liked my ToD one! :()

You should use an GIF image compressor then. It is nearly impossible for a person to compress them, as you have to look at how many pixels change, and tranparency and all of that good stuff. I haven' used on in AGES, but always used to use Animagic.

Either way, I see what you mean, but you have to realise that all signatures don't half to be life-altering. It is ok to have fun with some of them. More or less it's a continuation from my previous set, the first one was based on oranges, gloss and the second game in the half life series, this one is more simplistic, less detailed, representing the first episode :)

The logo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Half-life-cover.jpg) FYI is the logo of the Sector C Test Labs (aka the Lambda Sector) in the first game where the last major turning point occurs, and in the second game it is used as a marker for hidden caches.

That's all it is. No one says anything had to be techinical for it to look good. Try just taking 1 filter on an image, and only 1 filter on it, and make it look good.

a)The outer glow on your name is too big(My taste:P).

b)The text for SC:WotT is too eye-hurting. Try another effect other from the Noise filter.

the ligntening in the Assassin's creed sig was neither, just take a black and white gradient on a 500px x 500px image, then render difference clouds, invert the colour, set the mode to lighten, and erase what you don't need.

I don't think there is any ligntening in the night elf one.. because that one is just brushing.

The text colour doesn't really match them backgrounds, which IMO would look out of place :\

On your BC sig, the nevermore text kinda looks like it's overlapping your border, not good

I arranged them like that, but here's the real kicker... all the letters are on one layer, and alyways were.

take your text, and go right click>make shape

and you can move it around as you wise using the pen tools, and the tool right abovt the pen[forget the name]

The problem with it is that the tech is beveled, and it has a small stroke/outer glow. "Tech" is hard cut, mechanical looking art, not soft, plastic-y round looking art. And, it isnt really situated on the image. It just... lays on top and is distracting, moreso visually unappealing.

Oh, BTW, what brushes are you using in the background of the tech sig? I'd like to take a look at em, that or learn the technique.

Heh, nice Dayoh. The text needs anti aliasing, though. If you're using Photoshop, there's an anti aliasing drop down menu in the text tool's bar. If it is set to none, I advise to put it to either Crisp or Smooth. ;)

Ooo colors. Try making the Kabuterimon smoother. There are some white outlines, making it look horrible. :P

Holo, try adding in anti aliasing for the text. When the text tool is selected, find a drop down menu that has its settings to "None". Click on the menu, then set it to either Crisp or Smooth. NOw, the text ain't blocky. :)
