There was an openly gay member of Warboards?

Protosschick99
03-15-2006, 12:23 AM
I wouldn't do anything, I'd treat them just like any other member :)

TinyDancer
03-15-2006, 12:25 AM
Why would that matter?

GrassDragon

I don't understand why this would be an issue... We have openly geeky and openly religious people here and nobody makes a fuss (mostly).

Black.Ice

I wouldn't care nor would I change my attitude with them, even if it was a regular.

Looks like everyone has the same attitude about it :D

Yep, this is an online community. The nice thing about online communities is that everyone is accepted as they are. Much like at church......

Are you serious or is that sarcasm?

I hope it's sarcasm.

One of my best friends is gay. She's hot too. >_>

I think if they would flaunt their gayness around (not trying to be a fool here) very openly like they deserve a medal or something for being gay then I think people would have a problem with it but if it was just like "I'm gay" and everyone gets on with their lives then I wouldn't see any difference whatsoever

Protosschick99

I believe we do have a couple members who are gay if I am correct.....Or maybe I'm thinking of BF :P

I honestly could care less but if someone tries to pull that same thing that happened not too long ago in some online guild I'd be upset

Neo
03-15-2006, 3:25 AM
Wasn't there already someone who came out as gay?

O.o

Or something. What a wierd thread, I ought to close it, but then, im to lazy to do that.

Honestly I can't think of any reasonable reason to be upset or do whatever similar (read, options above) about someone else being homossexual (or bissexual), in particular at an online forum. Keep with your life as they'll keep with theirs. Anyone recalls the "live and let live"motto? ;)

And if you can't coexist, then I'd humbly suggest to seek a horizon widening (as in, keep your mind open for differences) and if that ain't possible to do, then move some place else. :concern:

With an attitude like that I think it's a safe bet that you won't be turning any girls straight.

I think if they would flaunt their gayness around (not trying to be a fool here) very openly like they deserve a medal or something for being gay then I think people would have a problem with it but if it was just like "I'm gay" and everyone gets on with their lives then I wouldn't see any difference whatsoever
Yeah, I agree entirely with this.

Yeah, that one dude who made that thread. I haven't seen him posting though. I know for sure there are a few closet gays here though.

I'll try to treat it equally. Homos are usually attracted to me for some strange reason...

But I'll LEAVE if it so much as sends me a private message.
Your subtle attempt to dehumanize homosexuals has been noted.

For the record, I would prefer to be the only heterosexual member of an all gay forum rather than to endure one more moment of your homophobic, sadistic, malicious, moronic posts. Unlike you, most homosexuals I know are kind and decent human beings.

Why haven't you been banned yet?

If she was to be turned straight, I'd do it myself. But I'm taken, so she's not.

Good verse of scripture :P

@ Kazansky--Be nice, that was not kind :shiftyr:

And about gay/bi ppl, I have a very close friend who is like a brother to me and he is very gay. :P He says he's bi, but he actually leans towards guys more than chicks.

I don't act stupid when I get around him, I'm like, "Dude what's up!!" I actually like hanging out with him because we can go to the movies together, go to the mall, and just hang out and he won't try to hit on me like other guy friend's have in the past because they think I like them :shiftyr:

Who am I to judge right? :P

Oh you know what? Now that I think about it there is this one guy who's gay on here--I can't remember his sn--But b4 I got my bf, I told him I had a crush on my best friend's brother and he was like, "Show me a picture and I'll tell you if he's hot."

But he was all cool about it, he wasn't acting stupid, I really liked him :) Nice guy.

I don't understand some of the comments in this post. We're kind of regressing...I mean why would anybody act differently? Are we really regressing to the 50's-70's when white people would start speaking jive if they were trying to interact with an african american?

I love it when people go out of their way to reassure you that they are accepting of homosexuality by listing off all their gay friends. Classic. Are we really regressing to the 50's-70's when white people would start speaking jive if they were trying to interact with an african american? Hey man! I knew this black guy once back in college! Don't bring me down... i KNOW black people! :P

Wut? Hate tha playa not tha game, bytches.

Seriously, I spent a good portion of my childhood in the deep south, amongst a heavily black population. My best friend from childhood was black (with whom I'm still in regular contact) and I spent a lot of time in a pretty heavily ghetto part of Memphis during summer for my summer job(s).

All I can add to that particular blurb, is: God damn MTV and their stupid bullshit. If I have to see one more white kid that thinks singing Usher lyrics and spelling words with homophone letters/numbers makes him "hip-hop", "ghetto", or street-savvy, I'm going to punch someone in the mouth.

I myself am bisexual. I don't make a huge deal of it, and I'm only telling people in this thread so you know. I'm not going to list how many girls I've kissed, or how many gay, bisexual, and transexual friends I have, that would just be dumb. But I will be honest. If there is an openly gay member here, good for them. If there aren't any, then it doesn't matter. I don't go around flaunting that I have blonde hair, I don't go around flaunting that I was raised Catholic, I don't go around flaunting that I'm bisexual, and I don't expect anyone else to flaunt anything. It's just ridiculous.

15/16 year old cool, liberal chick is "bisexual". Not suprised in the least. Whatever "bisexual" really means though... I've always thought "being bisexual" was just a synonym for "experimenting", or simply a way to showcase one's sexual open mindedness. (sp?) But hey, teenage guys like to hear it since it means the still have a remote chance to date you. But really, did we need to know? Meh. Whatever. Your dating pool is twice as big. You go girl.

Cool? Hah. I am the founder of the Uncool Coalition at my school. We are a division of the Suds, and we even have our own gang symbol. I'm open minded sexually, sure. I tend to lean towards guys more, but whatever works. No one needs to know anything. Let's not say anything at all about ourselves in our posts. I love being anonymous and posting bland facts. people are such fucking idiots.

im going to close this before people show how idiotic they really are. get with the fucking program: ignore something if it bothers you, and it probably shouldnt anyway. get over your want to control other people or whatever causes you to dislike differences, no matter the theme. its time people realized that everyone is different, all the time.
