View Full Version : Showering?

So here's the question: which way do you all face when you shower?

I know it's weird but in movies I always see people showering toward the showerhead, and I try that but find it highly annoying to be constantly sprayed in the face by water, as it makes breathing difficult. I've been told that it's mostly so that they can avoid nudity with women, etc, but I also know some people who shower that way.

So, the question is, do the majority of people shower facing the showerhead or with your back to the showerhead.

I usually have my back to the showerhead, except when I soak off the soap / shampoo etc. I guess some people face forwards, it wouldn't be too hard to not get a facefull of water, as long as you aren't right up to the showerhead.

Whichever is most convenient to me at the time.

I don't know, I'm always turning around in the shower. Can't say I face one direction more than the other. Not that it makes me any cleaner or anything :o

Meh. Haven't had a normal showerhead for years, we've got one of those extendable, changeable shower head things with different water sprays.

Much fun.

But when I do have it in a normal shower head position I am usually facing away from it.

Or, if you are undecided on which way to face in the shower, you could get a bath right?

...we've got one of those extendable, changeable shower head things with different water sprays.

It's a bidet!!:D

I tend to face away from the showerhead. Feels weird when it's hitting you in the face.

You all are short if the shower head hits you in the face every time. It's like 6 feet in it's original position and shoots down and hits about chest high in an average sized male if he's standing in the middle of the tub.

Both; it depends on which side of me needs to be rinsed. But when I face the showerhead, I stand such that the water hits my chest. Unless I'm rinsing my face.

I don't stand in the middle of the tub o_O I'm 6'1" and it hits me about shoulder height standing up.

I always face the shower head unless i'm rinsing my hair then I turn around. It is nicer to face the shower head for me because I get cold easily so it keeps me warm ^_^.

I'm the same way! I get cold easily too, so I'll kinda rotate daily to keep myself warm if it's a cold morning or night ;)

Back to the shower head unless I'm rinsing my front or my face. Otherwise my hair gets all weird.

I face forward most of the time. Washing my hair though I turn around. Sucky thing is my shower head is so low i have to crouch when i rinse my hair.

I take the showerhead off and rinse myself wherever. EXCEPT the face. When I want to clean my face, I shower overhead. Water pressure is a bit too strong. HEY - WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT BATHING???

PS, I take the showerhead off because it was installed at a wrong angle. If I just STAND there, it'll miss me.

Its easy for me to face forward because when i rinse my hair, I flip it upside down so that the water is hitting the back of my head. Hmm, that sounds kinda weird but hopefully you get the idea. It is because my hair is really thin so if i wash it upside down, it rinses better and I get an added volume boost.

I have my back to the shower. Its hard to breathe when I face the shower - and I prefer just normal showers, neither hot, nor cold.

I found out what a bidet was the IRC way. Therefore I will never forget it.

To those who don't know, it is a device that will make your cheeks less brown...

I also know some people who shower that way.
So do you just go up to girls and say "How do you shower?"
heh.

I'm 6'3". It doesn't really matter which way I face in the shower, it's generally no different. As a general rule I face whichever side I'm not washing at the moment forward. When I wash my hair I also face forward, because if I'm not watching what I'm doing I'll either bonk myself or gank the showerhead.

Well it all depends. Lets face it guys, it's easier to hit the drain if you're facing the shower head. Hardee har-har. Not that i actually pee in the shower mind you. ;)

I pee in the shower. What's wrong with that? Urine is sterile and it's not like they have pipes running through the sewer labelled "bathwater", "sinkwater", and "toiletwater". Even if I pissed all over myself in the process, it wouldn't make a damned bit of difference--I am showering, right?

this makes no sense whatsoever. especially when you cant spell things.

Seriously, not wanting to get in a pissing match (no pun intended) but I don't think you used correct capitalization in that post. Oh yeah, your punctuation needs work also. jist an obzervashun.
