It might help if you had posted a link or something to the topic on hand.

Such as, what the hell is windows live local? And for that matter, what the hell is mapblast?

Which, at any rate, doesn't really matter, since they are BOTH FROM MICROSOFT.

And thus, it doesn't really matter. Windows Live Local or w/e is in beta at any rate, and all it looks like is a web version of one of microsofts map programs.

But it's free... I think. Everything else Live seems to be -- I'm using the beta versions of Live Mesenger and Live Mail right now, and they're pretty cool. And free, which is also cool. Exept Xbox live, which isn't. >.<
