Was Black.Ice ever gone? Why is there a need for a 'welcome back' thread on an online forum? Why aren't you doing this for every member who leaves and comes back? Why only if he's a moderator? I left for two days last week. Why don't I get a thread with members gushing over me?
because grim has to meet his thread-making quota.

Thanks for the welcome back, but it's really not needed. :)
I was on vacation the past month in India and it was great. India is such a unique place and it's great to see things from a different perspective. It really changes the way you think.

It was nice... practiced my bargaining skills in AP. Went on a lot of sightseeing stuff, spent time with family and just relaxed and enjoyed my vacation. Enjoyed all the riots that were going on in Hyderabad, which was kind of weird.
Still no stories. You were there for a whole month and don't have any stories?
Me, my cousin and the car driver were going in an auto-rickshaw (Click to see what it is). (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&hs=b4L&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&q=autorickshaw&spell=1&percentage_served=100&sa=N&tab=wi) It's basically a three-weeled taxi. We were enroute to our destination when the engine suddenly stops (located in the back of the taxi). Frustrated, the driver hops out and runs to the back. Me my cousin patiently wait, and were talking about nothing in general.
I then hear footsteps of someone running, and then I looked out the side of the rickshaw. The next thing I see his the driver sprinting away from the rickshaw. This guy isn't running, he's freaking panicked and running as fast as he possibly can. He keeps glancing over his shoulder. Realizing that can't be good, I jump out, and look at the driver who's about 100 feet away. I walk back to the engine and then see a small fire.
My cousin and me look at each other and freak out. The flame was only about 4 inches high. My cousins yells, "Lets put it out". He runs towards the back of the auto, and we're thinking about how we can put it out. Like idiots, we start blowing at the stupid flame. Realizing we aren't doing shit, I look around for something to smother it with. Finding nothing, I look to see where the driver went, and he's gone to a street-cart selling cocunuts. I yell at him asking him what the hell he's doing, and he comes running back with two small glasses of water. He stands there, and pours the water over the flame, which reduces it's size (it's grown now). The water shorts the electrical system, and it begins to spark.
The driver takes off his shirt and starts blowing and waving his shirt at the fire trying to put it out, and the only thing I can think of is those crazy movie scenes where you see cars exploding and a huge fireball. Me and my cousin decide to get the hell out of there and we start running the other way, and the driver sees us running. The flame was pretty big now. He continues to wave his shirt for a while, and then glances back at us. He drops his shirt and runs to catch up with us.
While were running, we run passed a bore-well, with a hose connected to it that's used to water a small public-garden. I stop, realizing that we can put it out with the hose. The driver sees this as well. He gives me the hose and tells me to go back to the car and put it out. I throw it back at him and tell him that it's his car, and that he has to put it out. He grabs the hose and starts running back to the car, and then my cousin tells me to start pumping. I had forgotten that the hoses weren't like the hoses here, where you simply turn it on and water comes. We had to start pumping the little fountain thing and water begin coming out of the hose... The problem was with each pump, only a little water came out.
The hose wasn't long enough to make it to the auto-rickshaw. The poor driver stood there using these little squirts of water to put the fire out, and he was somehow successful. We walk back to the auto, and we're all breathing heavily and he says, "You've got good eyes to have spotted that pump".
Me, being the great guy that I am, admit that I do despite that me and my cousin were just running to get the hell out of there. After he fixes the problem, which had something to do with a loose connection and some other repair that he had done, he offered us a ride back to our destination. We kindly declined, and he was nice enough not to charge us the fare...
Haha. You seemed to have had a grand adventure, Black.Ice. I must admit that in all my years living in this country, nothing remotely this...exciting... has happened to me. (Bar, perhaps, a childhood incident where I was chased by a huge, pissed off black rooster at one point.)
Btw, what protests were you talking of? The Anti-Bush protests or the Anti-Dane protests?

Hey I don't recall naming the thread this...
I think this trend is getting a little bit out of control now. There will be a time where are the staff here are named after some sort of "nice" thing. We won't be able to tell them apart because all their names would have changed to something cuddly and cute and they will all be like, pink and fluffy and stuff. Lets hope none of the other staff decide to take on this soft transformation (pixels is our final hope.)
I'm sure it wont be permanent though.
