I'm looking into this whole modding thing, and to bo honest, I'm lost as what to do with what I've got.
I have Arsenal III, MPQ Compactor, MPQDraft 1.01, and WinMPQ 1.62
I get what to do(I think) in AIII, change a unit's things and save the file. After that, what do I do?
I basically just want to cloak all Terran stuff and give them shields(equal to their HP), and I want to do it myself, to start, so I understand how to do it. What I'm asking for is help in what needs to be done with what, and detailed steps would be helpful. If someone can do one on one help (Via AIM), that would be VERY helpful.

yo welcom to warboard and the best thing u can is to shearch SC.org on how to mod but i tell u how to clock and to give shelds
frist open A3 and go to the unit settings and change where it says shelds to any number and then cheack the box next to it now toword the top there should be tabs go up to advacne, then in there check the box that says permanet cloak and then save it
ok now open winMpq and go to file and pick new then ocne u save then new
and is open then go to where it says add(i think its says add) and then fine your a3 save its sholud be called units.dat(might not be) any way when the window pop up say wat to put in front of it type in Arr\(not/) ok now that save by its self so go close winmpq

open mpg draft and go to open mpq patch then pick starcraft and hit next then find or winmpq save and cheak the box by it then hit next then next agin and it should start

P.S. units wit energy if u peramanet cloak them they will always be losing energy

If I wanted the SCV (or a building like the Bunker) to have an attack, I would pick which weapon, like Gauss Rifle(for both air and ground), what would be checked off under the Advanced Tab and what about the AI Actions Tab(what would go in each of those drop down boxes?)?

most weapon u can just change on the weapon tab but they have to be the same type as the the weapon on the unit (so u can put a air weapon on a scv) that kind of stuff take the ICE and ICECC to do

The advanced tab, you'll use it for like giving a unit special attributes like making it a detector or permanantly cloaked
The AI actions tab contains all of the SCV's actions and reactions,
Like it's reaction to when an enemy unit passes, chase after it or ignore it
