Does anyone happen to know if there is a hack that crashes others out of war3? I've just crashed out of war3 (This has NEVER happened before) while I was doing rather well in a custom game.

Just wondering, because I would like to find a way to protect myself from it in the future.

Blizzard doesn't really check for hacks in custom games from what I've heard. I've been disconnected from games, even though I was certainly not lagging. That was probably a hack as well. A hack that crashes others out of Warcraft 3 is probably in existance.... :shiftyl:

I'm not sure what you can do about this. Its pretty good that such things don't work in ladder games!

Although is doesn't normally happen in custom games, Disconnect-Hacks are rumoured to be out there, and they were at one point rampant, completely screwing up the ladder system.

There is no way that I know of to protect you from them, really. Just bad luck. I've never played one myself, (although I have played a couple of games where I disconnected for a mysterious unknown reason as I was about to win, and my router was fine) so I don't know exactly what happens anyway.

They're called Fatal-Error hacks, and stabguy created them supposedly. He fucked up 1.19, and 1.20a because he passed the hacks out and people were using them all over the ladder.

And otherwise, Blizzard doesn't give a monkey shit if ppl hack during custom games.

Thats not the only thing that may have caused it, if you were playing a game with custom graphics that wernt on your computer it may have crashed your computer this happened to me when me and my friend tryed to play one.
