i've been thinking 'bout buying WoW and i wondered how u have to pay...do u have to just buy the game and thats it or are there other costs? plz help
thx:)
Edit: oh yea...be for i forget...if there's a new patch do u have to buy him or can u just download him somewhere?
Well. Lets look at the facts:
6 Million people who do play World of Warcraft:
All getting laid
All wicked badass
All have been granted ninja skills
Everyone else:
Losers
Fat
Ugly
So, does WoW get you laid, make you wicked badass, give you ninja skills, get rid of your acne and get rid of some unwanted weight?
No.
But it is the best game money can buy. So give it a try. :P

Patches are free, and you have tp pay a monthly fee.

To pay your monthly fee you have 2 options.
1. Use a credit card.
2. Buy game cards that are good for 2 months of play, you can buy the cards from the same place you buy the game.
As to if it is worth it, I think so, WoW is a great game.

You can only play on one set of servers, if your account is setup to play on US servers then you can only play on US servers, if your account is setup to play on EU servers, then you can only play on EU servers.
If you are in the market for a MMORPG, it is the best game out there pound for pound.

US people can play on Oceanic servers and vice versa, I live in Florida and I made a character on an Oceanic server. Just pointing that out.

Does that mean that i can create my account so that i can play on Us servers even if i live in asia?? cuz i don't wonna play on asian server wit only farmers on it...;)

China outlawed PvP games, so don't expect people in China even playing. Korea? Sure. And if you want connection issues and lag and whatnot, have at it.

It's possible I'm sure, but it isn't advisable. If you're happy with lag and a bad connection, have fun. If not... then ask google.

I was under the impression that minors could not play games with PvP content, not that the games themselves were outlawed.

One of us is right. Either way, I haven't seen many more Chinese farmers.

I think that leap of logic went a bit like this:
All of the non-English-speaking Asians I've met on the US servers are farmers that repeatedly ask me for food and water until I finally give in
Asian servers are populated almost entirely by non-English-speaking Asians
Hence, Asian servers are populated almost entirely by farmers that repeatedly ask me for food and water until I finally give in.
QED. Not really a thorough proof though.
To answer the original question of the thread: I stopped playing WoW just before I started university. I think about WoW every day and every night. I will be playing WoW this co-op work term at every chance I get. Yep. It's that good.

Either that was sarcasm or you completely misunderstand the terminology farmer . . . .
I hope that post is the first of the two options. Regardless, I don't understand what you're talking about >_> <_< >_>.

I like WoW. I've only played it a few times but it was good fun. If you're wondering what you might turn into, I recommend downloading Episode 6 of "Pure Pwnage". It will make things clear.

Ahhhh, kk, this makes things so much more clear :P.
A farmer is just someone that plays the game in order to 'farm' or 'harvest' items, gold and reagents in order to sell said products online for real money. In other words, these farmers play for long hours, grinding the same monsters, for a certain item and then ebay whatever they find.

A farmer is someone who plays nearly constantly and kills monsters in the game for valuable equipment, or for the money that drops from them. The equipment may be disenchanted, or put on the auction house where people can buy them. They usually have quotas of gold per week to get.
The majority of farmers used to be in China, but due to a limitation of hours that could be played, and even PvP games such as WoW being outlawed in China, farmers in other parts of the world have become more prominent.

There is a difference though.
Farmers play to make real money.
Other play for fun, or recreation. Some just play to simply pass time.

They're two different words actually, with very different meanings/connotations.
Farmer = someone who doesn't play for fun, who plays to make money, generally.
Farming = something lvl 60 (max lvl) players do to make enough money to buy certain nice equipment, or to buy their epic mounts, etc, or to get something that drops very rarely, or to progress with other things (some things you can only get if you increase your reputation with certain factions, something that is often done by killing certain monsters).

I personally believe that Wow isn't as great as it's cracked up to be. I personally like guildwars and especially with Factions coming up it's gonna rock. The graphics are really nice, the worlds are very awesome, and there is no monthly charge. I have both and i prefer guildwars .that's just my opinion though
