Why would you when people can go to WCReplays and watch gosu's playing Orc? Or do you just want to write how to play like a gosu because you think you are? I don't know that your guide would be very useful when replays are much better tools for learning how to play like gosu's play.
Cole, I'd be interested if each week you wrote a new segment about a particular matchup, backing it up with a pack of 5-10 replays (or more).
Example: This week, I'm going to focus on OvHu on LT, starting with FarSeer and grunt harass vs an early expand. First, creeping here... etc. <insert 10+ paragraphs, talking about pressure, upkeep, mercs, items, drops, etc>.
Hmm.. maybe I'll start doing this. I started laddering again.. I'm like 15-19 or some crappy rec now, though =x. I only win when I go DH first for some reason

:)
Haha, DH is a good hero.
Cole, its much better that you write small things about certain matchups/units, then how to play like a "gosu" overall as orc. Like what GroG said.

Watching gosus play orc only teaches you to cookie cut, it doesnt teach you to micro. It teaches you a few other things too but honestly not alot. Watching a game and playing a game is alot different. You see the thing is when you watch a rep of a game that you or someone else played, its easy to observe mistakes and such but when your in a game its a whole different story. Alot of the times players get caught up in outmicroing or macroing their opponent and revolving their strat around countering their opponents that they forget to do simple stuff like scouting for expos which could easily result in a loss. Copying the gosus doesnt make you a gosu. And i do consider myself a pretty good soloer. Probally alot better than you, proz.
DD, your idea is actually really good and creative. Maybe you could help me in the replay department because i dont know how many games ill be playing cause of WOW and other stuff.

This entire blurb makes no sense. What do you plan on doing, creating an interactive map? Otherwise, pretty much someone is either going to watch you play (OK learning tool) or listen to you tell them how to play (horrid learning tool). Listening to you Theorycraft is about as instructive as playing the solo campaign.
And i do consider myself a pretty good soloer. Probally alot better than you, proz.
Permit me to correct you and your horribly bloated ego. You fucking suck; you're an L25 with barely above 50%, and you can't go any higher. You're not even ranked. You rely on shit-talking to keep anyone from exposing you as the lameass fraud that you are, as I did when we first encountered one another and I fucking castrated you.
DD, your idea is actually really good and creative. Maybe you could help me in the replay department because i can't play and need someone to loan my bullshit credibility by providing me with replays so that i won't be exposed as a poseur noob
Fixed.
Genocide you cant comment about shit because your so ungodly terrible/biased at this game that its just sad. All you do is talk about how good you are yet ive never seen you beat one good player or even play one good player. You want to talk about recs, geno? Why dont you look at your rec. Your almost as bad as that loser jubae. I mean its people like you that gave "mass games" a whole new meaning. Your solo is absolute shit, why else do you think you were kicked out of clan AM? Weve never even played before so i dont know why your saying you "castrated" me cause i would never lose to a god awful player like yourself. I havent soloed in a week or two and im still prolly better than you. It takes you 323434324324 games just get in 30s, now wtf is that? And you keep saying i cant get over level 25. Uh well before reset when i soloed more and had time to play this game more and gaining levels was actually hard , i was level 35 solo WITH HALF THE AMOUNT OF SOLO GAMES IT TOOK YOU TO BE LEVEL 35. It was something like 130-100. Dont remeber the exact figure but maybe dd remebers.
Anyways geno, your not good. You prolly never will be good. I find it funny how you can play so many games yet still not be good at war3. How many more games do you need? 1,000? I think the hardest guy youve ever soloed was a level 10 RTer though. Could his 20 apm keep up with your 30 apm?
And as for the replays, wtf again you dont know wtf your talking about. When i said i wanted help from DD, it meant some friendly 1v1s with me and him, me demonstrating the strats vs him which would be convient because DD is a knowledged player and knows what to do is most situations rather than playing a BNET game getting matched vs someone really good or really bad and the strat proving nothing at all.

Totally not interested, first of all you are not a gosu, so whatever u write will make no sense, and noob, pls stop acting as if u r a smart ass.

SERIOUSLY, you, and everyone who thinks stats (or level either?) matter these days, think again. Especially when your own record isn't a single tad better.
(was going to write some wanting-to-be-ego-deflating comments right here, but my dog ate them)

stats dont matter, but c'mon, getting above 30 is so retardedly easy, i'm playing just for fun and every time i see my record it surprises me its not a losing record.
really, 90% of everyone who plays war3 sucks so bad at it, you have to play bad on purpose to not win more then 50% of youre games.

I really don't want to get involved, but calling someone a noob when you have 46.95% with 279 games, you only play RT and AT and you have Level 19 with 210 games (meaning you have almost reached your peak - I'd estimate 23/24 is the best you can do once you've played 300 games - a good estimate) is slightly hypocritical.
Cole, on the other hand, much as I don't want to blow his trumpet for him, has played 234 games with 57.26%. He has a record of 70-47 in Solo and is Level 22, albeit through AMM abusing. This means that his current abuse ELL is about 30. He plays a much less luck-based playlist (Solo) and is in a good, (despite its notable shortcomings and members with short tempers/radical views), clan.
Now, can we please close this thread before it degenerates any further.

Anytime we have someone attempting to assume the role of "Board-Gozu", we'll have this kind of argument. Cole1, if you think there's a strategy that has merit that you'd like to demonstrate, then do so. Don't call it "playing like a gozu." Sure, if you've got playing techniques that you believe will help new players, then post them. Don't call it "playing like a gozu." In fact, if you're going to sit here and assert you're a "gozu," then you're asking for everyone to sift through your record and criticize you to no end. Your only recourse then is to do what you do best, throw insults around like they're candy like an adolescent prick.
No one here is gozu. If there were someone that was Gozu posting here, I'm most certain they would rather be asked questions of their playing ability rather than waste their time posting in a thread about all the things that make them so great.
And until you play me, don't think for a moment you've got the skills to beat me. There's a reason I don't play online often, but it doesn't mean I don't kick my share of ass when I play. Be careful who you patronize.

Cole is L22 and managed to join up with a clan that has been slipping in Solo rank and degenerating since about 3 mos. ago when most of its active members quit WC or left the clan. I'd ask you to illustrate how you're derriving your numbers for ELL, but I'm fairly certain everybody here knows you're just making shit up. Please stop, because you're making yourself look very stupid.
Cole started yet another "I'm the best, who wants to be like me" thread, and it immediately went into flames as they have a million times in the past. Of course, he has excuses for why he has no proof that he's as good as he says he is, and he has plenty of insults for those that would even suggest that he would be even slightly misrepresenting himself. That he would lie about my leaving AM and slur a L40-42 single-digit ranked Azeroth player--it's just pathetic.
Cole, you're a bullshit nobody and you always have been and will be. No amount of calling others "newbie", "noob", etc. etc. will change that. Why don't you do what you said 3 mos. ago and leave Warboards for good because everybody here sucks and we're below you--nobody missed you while you were gone.

Mm, okay. Last time I checked, Blizzard stated that it took 200 games to reach ELL on the new solo ladder AMM. That's what I'm deriving it on, as you wondered. And that's not quite right. My general rule-of-thumb is that once you have 200 more wins than your current level, you've reached your ELL.

Mm, okay. Sources plz. And do me a favor and show me the numbers you used to get his ELL instead of posting some lameass bullshit like your "general rule-of-thumb" which is effectively "shit I made up". Display the method with which you extrapolated his level to be 30.
I would have thought that you had enough sense to stop when someone called you on Shenanigans, but apparently you've grown attached to talking and don't want to give it up so easily.
Geno for once realize that your wrong. You could be level 9,02322 but still suck at this game. I mean the amount of games yove played doesnt represent how good you are. Redrag, fazant and wisp (mamama or something like that, lol) make pretty good points. Clan am may be full of natzis, women haters, pyschiotics but were still a reputable and strong solo clan and arguing otherwise is stupid and pointless. A bunch of you took the term "gosu" to literally. When i said gosu, i meant good/above average. It was more of a "kewl term". So i dont know why the fuck you everyones so up tight about that. One fact is you cant argue that im a good soloer. If you want proof, ill give you proof. Wisp and redrag also happen to be proof. I do consider redrag to be a fairly good soloer himself and has come a long ass way and man he learned alot fast which kinda did impress me a bit. Wisp is experienced player also and can be really good when he stops playing gay, lol. Fazant used to train with hobbit and seems to know what hes talking about so the only peoples opinion that i actually take into consideration is redrags, wisps, and fazants. And dd.
As for proz, even though im out of practice, im still fairly confident im a better soloer than you. Critize my rec? I have prolly better recs than nearly everyone here if not everyone.
Am]Cole. Cole_won And some other 9-0 solo smurfs that i used to use. I have a bunch of diff accs really but not as much as redrag O.o

I assume this means you can't produce the numbers you used? And I wouldn't worry about the whole backseat moderating thing, I'm fairly sure that whomever sees Cole post knows it's going to be a lot of hot air.

They're not arguing over who's the better player necessarily, they're arguing over who's the better person in general. Or at least, if this argument is about strength, the majority of their arguments are about personality etcetera. GA and Cole have a rivalry stretching back a long, long way, and it means that whenever they disagree, we end up with a 3 page long argument before a mod gets round to closing it.

Feel free to outline your proof(s) for this statement. Either in that I'm arguing as to whether or not I'm better than Cole in person or in playing. If you can't, I'll assume this is roughly the equivalent of your Bullshit ELL Guesstimate crap.

We've known one another for less than 8 mos., and he's been missing for at least 3 of those.
Your last 3 posts have seriously been total garbage. You sound like you're talking just to assure everyone around you that you're privvy to information that nobody else has. Sadly, you're making this "information" up, so all you're doing is looking more like a moron than the people you're trying to impress.
Well clan AM and clan envy strongly dislike each other and both our clans are pretty good but are extremely ill tempered. When i beat that "good" ud player from envy, he did nothing but tell me how much i sucked the entire game. I dont really like clan envy, imo. And genocide tends to be a hypocrit and very confused.
